I’ve got one and surprisingly very good.
Floaty but not too floaty, very controllable and has enough rim weight to keep it spinning.
Horizontals are good too, so nothing to worry about there.
As a monometal, it’s a great buy, only thing I would change directly would be the pads, as they are quite slippy to my taste.

Agreed this yoyo is criminally underrated. However, maybe you just need to bite the bullet and pick up something like a TP kiwi for true rock feel.

The pads seem just right to me. One thing that is really great about this yoyo is the power transfer from your throw into the spin.
I like the pads to be snappy, so it’s a preference thing 
But I agree, the power transfer is great
