Iāll add another saying that the Cypher is silky smooth for me. Really unfortunate that yours is vibey, because I think this yoyo is phenomenal.
Just wondering, but did you maybe choose first class shipping? The yoyo could have been crushed in the mail.

I shipped first class and my Cypher is relatively vibe-free. The top of my box did come crushed though since it was missing the popstar. But does it gets crushed, most that will probably happen is a bent axle.

I got mine with first class and it was just fine. The crushed one was probably a fluke. And my Cypher us absolutely dead smooth. I threw a 10 ball in it, and itās hard to judge when I need to bind because itās super smooth.
More than a bent axle will happen. The axle is only 10mm long and is steel, were the walls of the yoyo are maybe 1.8mm and aluminum, the hub of the yoyo is much more likely to bend if pressure is put on it.
Was your bearing seat absolutely horrid? I, for the life of me, cannot get the bearing out of mine.
Makes sense. Had the impression because the only damaged yoyo Iāve received had a a bunch of vibe and the guy said it was due to a bent axle(it was a plastic yoyo).
Yea mine came first class in a padded envelope aswell. The Cipherās box was kinda crushed but the yoyo its self is dead smooth. And everything else is perfectly intact.
My bearing seat is tight, like my Shutter is. But it wasnāt a problem with the YYF multi-tool. That being said, it was only tight for the YYF Spec bearing that came with it and an OD 10 ball. My CT and Crucial Grooved bearings were loose enough to pull off with my fingers. Itās the same way with my Shutter.
If you donāt have the multi-tool, I highly suggest getting one. They make everything so easy maintenance-wiseā¦ Removing bearings, removing axles, cutting string, picking knots out of the gap.

My Cypher vibes so badly itās practically a wobble. I absolutely love the shape and weight, but the vibe makes it unplayable. Also the bearing is the worst one Iāve ever had the displeasure of using.
Edit: The bearing is fine. The problem may be the very loose bearing seat. The bearing practically falls out. Replacing the bearing doesnāt solve the issue.
