Have you tried the Alpina? I am not sure you would like it, the weight distribution is extreme for a metal yo-yo. The big one kinda scares me a little TBH

Nah. It may not be my cup of tea (though I DO like to live dangerously and 90% of the nerves around my knuckles are long dead).
Mainly Jeff is a great guy and I love his design style. That’s most of the criteria I need to be able to enjoy a yo-yo right there.
Well I recommend the smaller of the two Alpinas that is for sure!
Forgot about the Gully. That’s on my list too.
A little too tall and a little too wide. Plus I’m not really down with all these random small brands that have popped out of nowhere. When a company is 10 or so yo-yos deep I’ll take a look unless they’re run by someone I respect who I know knows their stuff. Not saying the people who run these small brands don’t, I’ve just been out of the loop so long I don’t know who they are.
Anything I miss that’s good enough will just be made at a better price point by YYF later anyway.
