I saw C3yoyodesign announced the Radius release date to be 2nd may and i’m really interested to buy one. I also saw they offered both finish for this model (Sandblasted and Shiny).
But my question is wich one of those two finish is the best; what are the pros and cons of both finish.
Thanks a lot
I know sandblasted makes it really smooth but ive never heard of “shiny”. It almost sounds like a raw finish but thats just a guess.
Blasted finish will be “grind friendly” - “Shiny”…will not.
Thanks a lot, I think i’m going to buy the sandblasted one.
I think it’s actually “Bead” blasted, but I could be wrong.
Sand blasted, bead blasted, soda blasted - It’s all the same idea.
Agree, make the yoyo grind friendly, But tend to make a different feeling also, IMHO.

Beads are generally made from silica glass, and sand is silica, so one and the same basically. Beads tend to be smoother than the sand used.
Yeah I understand that, I was just saying “it’s all the same idea” as in they all serve the same purpose - Providing a better grinding surface.

Not meant to correct what you said, just commenting that they are basically the same. Fine enough sand grit will give the same finish as beads.
