sounds like my jam.
i was actually considering buying the ragnarok, it looks pretty unique.
bro, i wish i could like this post twice. i love these colors!
I designed this today. A V shape with a little H thrown in there for flavor. Kinda looks like a baby between the puff adder and warbird lol. 52x43, 4.5 gap. Weight would be between 60 and 62 grams depending on 6061 vs 7075. Definitely more of a fun design as its so light and on the smaller side.
Happy Birthday Palli!
looks wide.

not a bad thing, looks fun.
The transition from the profile to the gap looks a bit sharp. Shape looks interesting though, what’s the inspiration?
I just took the specs of the serenade and tried to make an H out of it lol
Inspired with KLR specs so I named it the FMJ to kinda go with that army vibe. 55x44 6061, 4.5 gap, 64 grams. Originally wanted to make an organic V but the rims became a bit too bubbly and I really dig how it worked out.
I made this yoyo for my girlfriend. Its a mini. 46x36mm, 4.4 gap, 58g. I made it light since shes tiny haha. As far as the actual design, its had to be the weirdest thing I’ve drawn considering how normal it is. Has a similar shape to a couple other yoyos ive designed recently but its a shape ive really come to like.
Some random design dump from me of yoyos I’m probably not making,
Fire yoyo, note that the wicks on the sides are not ideal since I haven’t done any testing of what works best for a yoyo. Too risky to invest in this project since there are so many variables. The hubs are tapped so you can actually put different attachments on the side so you could possibly put a hubstack on the post with a m4 screw attachments or run it without anything on the stacks at all.
Random weird bi-metal
Super powerful <64g bi-metal designed for competetive fast play, I think this one could possibly be an amazing but I think the design elements and style is too similar to the recent Duncan releases.
6061 monometal design could be a great choice for a budget metal.
I really like the monometal design, very clean
Yeah I might revisit that one.
The random weird bimetal is kinda cool.
Great looking throw @Palli!!!
Can anybody reccomend on how to start doing this? I’m kinda wanting to get into cad my self, and maybe even produce a few yo-yos.
Start by watching this video, which uses an engineering lens to analyze yoyo design:
There’s 3 other videos in the series, you should watch those as well.
Then learn the tools - Fusion360 or Solidworks or some other CAD program.
Here’s a more design-focused video by @Jamie_Larkins:
You should make a lot of designs and get feedback on them.
