So I put a super glued bearing in my RBC and…WOW!! That plays really fantastic.

If I make a plate of bearing locks with everything else I’m doing I’ll happily send folks a few. That’s a cheap part and even better can fit in an envelope
I haven’t sliced a file for that yet but my calculation on a plate of Aldi keys fit my wife’s mom group was like 75 cents a key or something silly like that. The bearing locks would be significantly less material.
All that to say I’ll see what I can do. No promises but if I get time this week I’ll let yall know.

Sounds like a product the Boomer Club can look into? Wonder what it would take to get Brass Axels made? Mr85? A Size? D size blanks are available. C blanks available occasionally.

Something a lot of people don’t consider is asking the machine shop at the local vocational school to take it on as a project. A lot of times they’ll do it for a modest donation for materials.
I work with a machine shop in my business. I am not sure this would be a project they would take on. But Ill ask the next time I take something over.
Will have to work out a dimensional blue print.

I nearly bought a load of teak blanks earlier this year. I forget who I was talking too life got really busy and I forgot all about it.

Thankfully bearings are a standard manufacturing part so dimensions should be published it’s just designing a quick cad file. That’s a later this week thing if I get around to it.

I actually really enjoy my Kasm with the bearing lock more than without. It hits a sweet spot for me I feel like.

McMaster-Carr sells unthreaded spacers in various sizes. Ive used these exact spacers for a-bearing blanks. 5mm ID, 10mm OD, 4mm wide, perfect sizing =]
