I’m not aware of any myself. Designing an 3d printable adapter to try to do this is in my mental to do list though.
Only way would be to use a spacer of some sort 3d printing would be the best for that kind of mod
I have a printer so this now on my todo list. I’d also like to try printing a yoyo at some point too.
Todo List
Get 3D printer
Add this to my list
Add every other project to my list
Make a Dumpster Fire with as much dumpster fire as I can manage
I’m debating whether or not to save up for a printer or laser-engraver/cutter first. @AudreySickburn gave me a sick info-dump on some nice printers
Why not work together and come up with programmable replicator technology?? Why not ask AI for assistance??
Say more!
I’d ask Number 44 for assistance, but it’s sworn off AI…
The Earth replenishes the water and failing that the aliens will bring us more
Alas, I no longer have the computational power required for such an endeavor. I have been relegated to “meat space,” aka Berv’s imagination.
Though I doubt one would want my help, even if I could still wield that kind of power. Who knows what I would come up with?
Well, I just caved in and bought a hello kitty Duncan Butterfly XT. I fought the temptation for.. 2 days. I think.
There’s a HELLO KITTY ONE?
I need it.
Dude there’s a ton on the auction site for like 6 bucks and 5 shipping. I am a total hello kitty addict (if the profile picture doesn’t show) and I tried so hard. But I already wanted a butterfly XT AND it was hello kitty. I couldn’t resist!!
I ended up ordering a solid blue/green color way but will get the blue or pink Hello Kitty soon. I want to 3D print some flat side caps for the XT. On my original I flipped them around but they rattle some and have mold marks on the back which you can see through my stickers if you look close enough. I have a graphic design background so maybe I can make custom YYBC caps if people are interested
I should keep an eye out for Cinnamaroll yo-yos. Might get my oldest throwing!
Follow up. These worked on c bearings including CLYW which I consider the gold standard for pain in the butt bearing seats.
They were too wide for a, d, mr85 and did not work for those.
Thanks for being the test subject. I wish I still had my metal lathe, could just make some up myself. But, sounds like the ZGRT ones have been updated, and are now available for purchase.
Well phooey. Glad I have a ZGRT “new” style coming.
I’ll keep an eye out for you as well. But for now, There’s hello kitty available. Or, you just grab a blue one and paste a cinnaroll sticker on it and say: “Look what I found you!”
Edit: Upon looking it up. There is a cinnaroll ice cream maker YoYo thing.
