I forgot about that one.
I threw my friend’s silver bullet and was really surprised how good the throw and return feel was. I was too scared to try anything else with it because of its weight, but yeah, the throw and return felt great.
Edit: it appears it only weighs 50g, so I don’t know why I felt it was so heavy.
I picked up a b-grade cerakote chunk, and its only been used for 5a. Then again I just throw my favorite yoyo at the time for 5a cause its the style i find most relaxing. Bought it chipped, so all the additional chips ive given the coating with cw dings and drops are just extra character!
The Operator!
Its the Clubs first Prototype unresponsive. We have been thinking about making some small tweaks and doing a 2nd Prototype run.
Will most likely be the beginning of next year.
Will I get a discount deal on account of knowing how to dial a Rotary Phone?
Not around these parts you won’t. We were all dailing in numbers before you were a twinkle in your Dad’s eye.
Every time I see it, I hear Sade.
Sure but your discount isn’t adjusted for inflation and comes in 1920s currency so that’ll be 5 cents off. Your welcome. Enough for my grandpa to buy a pack of gum when he was a kid.
It’s also in dog pricing, so we are actually multiplying it by x7
I fully expect a 5 cent discount should I buy an Operator.
It can come out of my pocket lol
What color dial phone did you have back in the day?
- Uninspired beige
- Boring brown
- Dubious green
- Insipid yellow
- Commissioner Gorden
- A different color
Our rotary was black. It’s still actually hooked up and functioning on the wall at my parents.
I don’t think my Grandparents still have their old Baby Blue Rotary, I’m 99% my Grandpa lost it in a flood.
Just a few years back (before Covid) I setup our office assistant with a hot pink rotary phone we had to setup on a digital to analog box to get working
I know there are a ton of colours for dial phones, I’m keen to know what yours that weren’t on the list were.
Red was the coolest, but I had a beige.
Incredible to think that anyone still has a phone on their wall these days!
