The aluminum fixed axle has already been done and perfected. TK silver bullet
That’s that all you need is a butterfly and a dream talk and I’m not here for it lol
I’ve been wanting an SB2, 50% of my friends are “cowboys,” so maybe that’s what I need to get them into yoyoing.
I bought a SB2 when it first came out. And have never had it dialed in to a decent player. It’s very finicky at best. It was a little too ahead of its time.
Has anyone tried those Kasm bearing locks on a non-Kasm. I’m wondering if that might give a similar effect for those that don’t want to brick a bearing.
I made designs at one point for them for various sized bearings but never got my printer consistent enough for something that small. Maybe my recent upgrades mean it could work. That’s a new year project for me though
We need a new Silver Bullet. I see them pop up every so often, but at this point they have collectors item price tags on them. It’s similar to a Tio if a Tio had a smaller axle.
Silver bullet 3? Or should it be SB 1.5? I’d also love to see a SB2 reboot with a modern bearing seat and modern response pad! I would definitely buy one.
There is already a SB3, and a SB4. maybe Silver Bullet V?
I want an OG SB so bad. Especially with all the recent chatter of aluminum fixies… I love metal fixies with wooden axles/sleeves. I got lucky and scored an OG Custom Reactor a few months ago and it’s amazing.
I just missed an OG SB on eBay going for $19
the thing was beat up, but it seemed like it worked well. plus, the damage made it look like an old western coin.
A Silver Bullet?
Sleeves for No Jives seems to be readily available still. Would be cool if someone designed an AL fixie that used them. Or maybe just drill a 1/8” hole through some dowels and have a thin axle rod that goes through it.
Maayybeeeee…. A dowel that’s been drilled out that can have Side Effects run through it. Now I’m talkin’ straight crazy talk.
Or stems for that matter.
Stem too! But then we’re locked into a specific response size.
You can use the stems without the response same with cabal guts.
Oh I didn’t know that. I thought the caps that hold the response pads were integrated with the axle.
I swear I had seen a Boomer Unresponsive in BST a few weeks ago, but I can’t find it. Does anyone know anything?
Isn’t this an SBX?
