Yoyo Appraisal Thread

Yeah it’s a MIB ceramic bead-blasted black edition Pyro, 1 of 40 (thought it was 100 but looked it up). I know people don’t want to throw 8-years-old yoyos but see it as a collector’s item. When I was on YYN people were offering me $300 - $400 (this was like 06 or 07) but I kept it as many forum members thought the value would appreciate.

By the way what’s so bad about D bearings? I stopped yoyoing for a few years and suddenly almost nobody is using D bearings. But the Leo Sniper Mk II uses it and it’s supposed to be fantastic. What’s the C vs. D performance issues exactly?

What do you peeps value a Wintergreen Peak at? A mint one and one that has a little bit of damage (let’s rate it an 8/10).

With hspin no longer manufacturing their name has slowly been dropping off of everyones radar. When nobody knows who made the yoyo it can only be so collectible. The collector market here is picky and niche so it’s only going to sell to a select few. I remember when the soas was valued $800+ but those days are long gone. D bearing still gets used but C has become standard for most so it just makes sense to use it the current throws of today. Yoyorecreation occasionally likes to put out D bearing yoyos though.

Yeah I get that C’s are standard now but don’t know WHY that happened. What are the advantages/disadvantages of C bearings vs. D bearings is what I’m curious about. When I started throwing metal most non-Duncan brands were using D bearings, namely Hspin and SPYY.

A few months ago $300 easily regardless of condition, now $200-250 since the frenzy seems to be dying down a little

Anti Yo Busine$$. Good condition with original box that still has the shredded money.

I’d say around $100.

How much is a 2009 metal severe worth

Condition and color matters

Even if it’s completely beat you could probly walk away with $40 for any of them if it has the caps. For the right color and in mint condition I could see as high as $100.

This, MIB from 1986:

Agreed, I think worst case scenario you’re looking at $50 as long as it still spins and I don’t think you’d have any trouble getting $90-100 for a mint one. It’s moderately old and has always had a pretty strong following.

No idea of the value, but I believe the accepted term is ‘mint on card’ :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s a Facebook page devoted to collecting old yoyos; I suggest you post it there, you’d have more luck finding an accurate appraisal.

Lol yeah Mint in Card (MIC) is correct XD

Blue near mint SPYY Orbitron 5000?

Near mint, 1 of 3 un-engraved Orange Boo, General-Yo Prestige.

I’ve never seen them sell well. They sit and sit and sit and sit. I think this is partly due to them being the 2013 (?) WYYC yoyo. I’d say around $50.
