I’ve slowly but surely been selling my MIP and mint w/o package FHZs for $30-40 but it’s taken quite some time and I still have a few left. I’ve seen other rare FHZs (including all the ones in that picture except Vikings) sit either on eBay or on a BST for $30-35 with presumably very little interest. People don’t much seem to care about FHZs these days so you’re likely gonna have to wait for the right guy to get the right price.
Hayabusas would be at $10
Love and bionic would be around $25-30
Takeshi would be at about $20-25
Steve brown zeros are about $15-20
Vikings are $35-40
The Duncan equals love I paid like $50-60 for like over a year ago from Kyo and that was your appraisal when I asked you in chat last year. I’d really be surprised it it went down in value. Also, do you give the throw a higher value during trade as compared to selling for cash?
The market seems to be more or less dead. Throws I valued in the $70-$80 had to be dropped to the $50 range in order for me to actually sell them. Of course it will do better on ebay and might actually get into the $50 range but you’re going to lose some money in fees. Trade value is always higher as well. Also thanks to skyhighyo zeros had a pretty high popularity at the time.
I believe Dave Hall just had a MIP D=L go for $75 on eBay…but at the same time oldedges had two D=L in his BST for $30 each…albeit recessed, but as far as my spending dollars go I’d almost prefer recessed to MIP. I got bored of staring at my FHZs sitting in their original package…once it’s recessed I can not only freely enjoy it, I can enjoy it to its full potential. Of course opinions will vary on this and my opinion probably speaks to the fact that perhaps I’m not a true collector.
The market on FHZs is pretty limited at the moment so I think the most likely situation to end up as a seller is either selling it low to rid yourself of it or list it at a conservative collector’s price hoping for the right guy to come along. I think hoping for magic and getting $50+ for FHZs is a thing of the past under anything but absolutely ideal circumstances (extremely rare Zero that someone is desperate for)
