If it’s working like it should, why sweat the details?
I can be happy throwing a Classic with a SPEC bearing, or I can be happy throwing an Anglam or TI-5, or anything in between, be it metal, plastic or metal and plastic.
Right now I’m helping test some Twisted strings or is it yoyostringlab? I forget. Next I have another brand of strings to test out.

I do find once I get things set up the way I like it, I tend to document it in my database and then leave things along as far as tweaking things.
For example:
With my Burnside, I set it up for a friend with a Terrapin X Dry Play treated Trifecta. I knew he’d like it so I treated my other Trifecta the same way, then shipped it to Florida for him to use it in for his SER performance. He didn’t send the bearings back!! But I told him not to. He send me fresh Trifectas to replace them. I gotta say I really like the performance of the Trifecta in the Burnside. I also like the Trifecta in the TI-5.
I often find most stock configurations are perfect. I do admit I like my Speeder 2 and Meteor better with KKs in them.
For the most part, out of the package with a a fresh string and I’m happy.
