I’ve made a plastic/metal hybrid yoyo for my school project. Everything is 3d printed, including the bronze weight rings and spacers.

Hi, I do useless things. This is a floating yoyo, made to play at the beach or in the pool.

Full made in stainless

How does it play?

Really nice!!!

Like, this is an actual yoyo? Not something on a computer?

Well, I want to be honest with you guys, this yoyo doesn’t play so good.
It’s real, I made it for my summer holydays, I don’t know why but I was terrify by losing my yoyo in the water. I saw that kind of sponges, used by fishermen to hold the lenza, and I made this yoyo in stainless steel to protect it from salt water. I kept in my poket every time, at the end of the summer it was still good. Stainless was stainless
As I wrote, it’s useless…but it floats

Thanks!

You should make a bigger version that could be used off-string in the pool, or at the beach with a friend!

Anyway, you must be considered a national treasure in Italy!

Very light and zippy, too zippy. The bronze rings add a lot of power and stability, given that it weighs only 54.26g.
