Really? I like it.
I wasn’t a fan. Loaded with vibe and not really any power to it. There’s just much better organics out there that can be had for around the same price. But to each their own

Gotcha I just seen it and it looked like it had a nice shape. I didn’t think that it would be anything bad or have a bunch of vibe, especially being a Duncan
Duncan makes yo-yos on both sides of the spectrum. Some are great, some aren’t worth the metal they’re made of. Really just depends on the specific model. The only yoyo I like less than the drifter xl from them is the original drifter. Legitimately the worst metal yoyo I’ve thrown

I used to have a Metal Drifter XL, I had it custom powder coated Tiffany Blue by @yoyospirit
Traded it at worlds for a Core Co. Diesis, which was one I had been after for a long time.
The Xl Drifter was a good yo-yo, dead smooth a little heavy. I personally hated the engraving always threw me off. Wish I had polished it out before having it powder coated, as it showed through. Though I still would have traded it for the Diesis.
Out of my collection of oversized, I would take an A-rt 420 over all others and the Atoms Pomelo 2nd.
While I liked the XL drifter, I would not buy another XL drifter.
I like it. Never noticed any vibe. I didn’t think of it as something amazing, just another good yoyo. And I prefer larger diameter yoyos and this is a good size to me. Not comically giant like the Sasquatch 202x or the Pomelo, but big, comfy and pretty stable. It was a nearly daily player for me for a while, but I rotated it out of the kitchen counter rack which is where most of my throwing happens these days.
Okay. Maybe I won’t buy one then. I just thought it was going to be a good yoyo but just too many people that are kind of against it. Maybe I’ll pick up a koi for cheap. I’m planning on buying something next month.
