just curious how many men do you see at competitions and then compare it females is the number close to the same? I think a female division would be nice and all but it’s also fun to be rough and tough against some of the guys.

If both sexes were the same when it comes to throwing yoyo; then there would not be so many threads wondering why no women throw yoyo. It is obvious that the two sexes view the challenge of learning yoyo-ing differently. Otherwise, there would be an even division among the sexes at yoyo contests. Sadly, that is not the case. Therefore, a women’s division makes sense because it allows women to compete against like individuals; not obsessive/compulsive adolescent males with mis-placed aggression.

Wow that stuff never happens in the USA for advertising.
Guys just updated sponsors of this year WYYC. I think all bigger companies are sponsoring(from them, I think only One Drop is missing?).
There are also some interesting sponsors from outside of yo-yo - Bageterie Boulevard(local variant of Subway), Czech tourism agency and BU2R, project of czech Budweiser Budvar to promote urban projects.
Wildcard rules are online.

@Bína, I know One Drop has been trying to get in contact about sponsoring the WYYC. They said they’ve not had any response to their e-mails (according to their ask.fm page).
Might want to look into that. 
I now know what’s happening there and it’s little complicated. Will not comment more on that.
