MY THOUGHTS/OPINION>>>>>>>>

Why I think G Squared YoYos is the best yoyo brand/company!

  Right off the rip the first thing everyone notices is the G2's Colorways, Functional Art! The famous Swirl color scheme catches the eye of everyone not just yoyo players! "The Rainicorn Swirl" pictured below..... Anyways people go crazy over these colorways! I believe the night fury swirl went up on eBay for an auction style sale and sold for $1,400.00 bucks! G2 also offers a variety of colorways solids fades splashes speckles etc....

    Second and Thirdly G2 is not corperate company and they don't mass produce there products and is solely owned and operated by Jacob G...... All these factors make it possible for Owner to Customer interaction which the owner "Jake" does an incredible job... You have G2 Nation on Facebook, Discord, Patreon Subscriptions, MMYY Monday Morning YoYo on YouTube, Instagram Company and Drops page, Reddit r/Throwers community Original Content yoyo, etc.


   Now Fourth and Finally every once in a while G2 offers custom anodizing on what ever yoyos he currently has available at the G2HQ and I believe you have to be a Patreon member to be able to participate.... 

  My Personal Favorite thing is the interaction Jake has with everyone especially on YouTube almost every single day he is posting to his vlog giving constant updates of what's coming, what he is currently working on, what he just finished, contest, give aways, trick/tutorial videos, lottery/raffles and you get to see what it takes to run a successful yoyo company!

MOST yoyo companies are like this my man, even the “big” ones. Like YYF for example - they’re a super small, family run company with just a few people working there. But most are just one or two dudes, just like G2.

Quickly/off the top of my head, I think something that actually truly differentiates G2 from other yoyo companies is the crazy strict QC. Jake has higher standards than most for sure. But to be fair, manufacturing quality when it comes to yoyos is less of a thing in the past few years - pretty much all the manufacturers are turning out a high quality, vibe free product.

Love G2. Good Life is another brand that seems to have magic QC abilities. Not that I really care too much about perfect smoothness. My most played G2 happens to be a glitch.

Jake is pretty incredible in his perserverance, discipline and level of customer engagement, all for his side job! A lot of other yoyo boutiques are very responsive, but Jake takes it to another level in terms of proactive engagement and updates and general thoughts … plus, bonus points for his ICYY videos, where we all get to learn a little more about yoyo design.

And I say this as someone whose current favorite yoyo company is not G2.

I’ve only owned Banshee SS. Sold one because I didn’t like the blk rims as much as I thought I would. Bought a clear and it’s fantastic.

I would buy more if his website had a better catalog of past G2’s. Maybe he logs that stuff elsewhere I don’t know, but the website is a bit of a letdown. One Drop is the benchmark here. I absolutely love digging into the history and specs for each. I guess if I owned a company I would even log colorways released by year too!! :yo-yo:

I do love the balance of Jakes content, he’s a master, and you can’t deny he has a beautiful product.

I like how Jake puts out a lot of videos speaking to his audience and keeping them in the know about his products and what’s going on. I know he isn’t the only one, but the time he takes to do it is noticed.

I’ve only tried a Banshee and Respawn, they were great. Is he the best brand? I dunno, I like tons of brands, but if it was a contest, he would be in the running for sure

Big G2 fan here.
I appreciate the the extra effort he puts into each release. Others have “smooth” yoyos but then the overall quality doesn’t match. Smooth is not the only item I think of for quality. The blast and the anodizing really step it up for me. I enjoy the effort that goes into each drop. Yes its frustrating when he puts effort into these drops just for them to sell out in 27 seconds but I still appreciate it even more when I land one.

I love the community involvement you get with G2. Doesn’t that make the yoyos better? No, but it makes me want to spend my money there if im going be spending it on yoyos.

There are plenty of good brands out there. I will continue to buy from multiple but G2 has landed at the top of my list.

I hate this section too. When I first got back into this scene I though they hadn’t made anything new. Just to find out ive missed 25 releases

Absolutely, I wish all yoyo makers had a backlog like onedrop’s, even if Jake literally just linked out to all of the youtube videos he does for each release in one place (maybe a fun project if someone is really bored one day).

Love all the stuff that Jake does, he’s an excellent figure in the yoyo community and I hope he sticks around forever.

It would certainly be possible as it is just a list of urls! You could also probably use iframes to embed your videos into your site. Something that would be cool is if in your YoYos section, when you click on a YoYo you can have a vid embedded that would be about that yoyo and its release.
