Been throwing this 888 this week. Last time i posted the Pic i was told not to throw this guy because it’s a special. Love all Higbys art and i love this yoyo. Was a gift from my brother, and it would be a crime to let this sit in a case indefinitely. Love the way the 888 plays.

Ninja hurdles canvas i picked up from the clyw site when it dropped. Instead of having it shipped I went to the Edmonton meet up that weekend and picked it up from Chris, and Jensen asked if he could do some sharpie art on it for me. 13 y/o me was insanely pumped and its still the coolest yoyo I own.

I carved a thick piece of Filet Mignon into the exact dimensions as an Original Peak.
I haven’t grilled it up, yet, so, at least temporarily, it’s my ‘Rarest’ yo-yo.

idk if this counts as rare but i do have an Auldey original Blazing Teens 1 Fire Lightwave, it’s the oldest and rarest in my collection

In my experience, the speed of the yo hitting the noggin matters more than the 14 extra grams.
In fact, since heavy yos move slower (with the same force applied), they are easier to react to and dodge altogether!

undoubtedly one of the most legendary and sought after Paek but it is not a 1/1… it is a 1/14 (or 15… there has always been this doubt) and their characteristic was that almost all of them presented a more or less accentuated vibration, in fact many were sold as Fool´s Gold and in any case at a reduced price

P.S. If I remember correctly, they also made the Wooly Marmot Royal Bison… I remember a photo of the two yo-yos together, but I don’t know where to find it now.
ERRATA CORRIGE: I thought that almost certainly the image I remember did not portray Royal Bison but Team Edition… so no, Royal Bison were made only with Peak

In ‘your’ experience, you may most certainly be correct.. But if you ‘accidentally SMACK yourself upside the head with a heavy yo-yo, at that moment technically accurate weight identification will be much less significant than the urgency of possibly seeking First Aid.
And even though I agree with you fully that heavier, yo-yos, move slower with the same force supplied, so they’re easier to react to and dodge altogether… Who’s to say that you’re not hanging out at a contest or yo-yo club in the park and the guy next to you doing some kind of power combo with his brick on a rope, outside of your peripheral vision, is the one that smacks you in the head with that piece of antimatter?
In that instance your suggestion, although it totally has merit in the scenario you suggest, it has no application in/the instance you have no awareness that the yo-yo is coming your way to crown you king.
I remember many years ago at worlds in Florida, this guy was showing off his 5A with a yo-yo that he had modded himself. He literally got a glue gun and glued some big washers. He bought at a hardware store into the sides of his yo-yo. We didn’t have a scale, but he said that he weighted it before he left the house and it was about 102 grams.
It powered down the string like a beast. His tricks flowed along on the slower side, but his smooth coordination and the complexity and accuracy of his string hits was like Art on the string. His posture and balance was solid and he had to look on his face of a poker player that nobody in the room could read his hand. No real expression good or bad. Just a look of concentration and confidence in every move he made.
It almost seemed like the guy was an emotionless robot programmed to just shred and nothing else.
Interestingly, the entire vibe of his 5A flow was dramatically, shattered at the very moment his heavyweight yo-yo smacked him in the back of the hand! For some odd reason, his rig was allowed to drop to the ground, and the quality and range of his singing voice was immediately provided to all within earshot. Actually, it had less of a singing quality and more of us screaming quality.
PS…. The quote I used of what you said in no way means you were even 1% incorrect. My response is just to identify that your descriptives, suggest a limited scope possibility, and don’t consider the realm of probability. That’s all.
