What's your favorite plastic yoyo?

One of my all time favourite is the Aceyo Pure. I’ve ordered the Dove from a yoyo shop but they accidentaly sent me the Pure. They were cool and sent me the Dove as well, but to this day I prefer the Pure. In design and playfeel it reminds me of the SF Plstc.

I like the plastic Peak, but to me the 000 wins as the best plastic from Luftverk (yet to try the Fulvia)

Having said that, vote goes to the shooting star, awesome daily carrier. Pretty sure the speedaholic xx is almost the same.

The mojo is the best plastic yo-yo of all time imo

Only have the Shooting Star, Speedaholic XX and dove. My favourite is the Shooting Star.

It’s really good. The finish isn’t very grind friendly, except for in the finger spin cup. Oh yeah, and that cup is a little tight for my fingers. Other than that the thing plays great.

I got one for my kid and he perfected finger spins and DNA with it. In like a day. Before that he was having all kinds of trouble with them on my Shooting Star.

I wish I could try a speedaholic to compare it to the shooting star. I kinda like the lightness of the shooting star since I don’t have many light yoyos. Im going to need a new shooting star eventually mines already been pretty beat not sure if I should go with a speedaholic instead next.

Or this beautiful Yoyorecreation PNIR

I just realized I didn’t mention the FH1 in my answer as well. Shame on me

Damn that looks sick. Haven’t heard anything about it til you posted it now. Wonder how it plays.

I didn’t either lefty. :zipper_mouth_face: I was on the unresponsive mindset. That’s my excuse ha.

Is there much difference between the Plastic Peak to the Plastic 000 ?

I owned both. I preferred the Shootong Star by a very small margin. The differences were all super minor. I preferred the hand feel of the Shooting Star slightly and it’s fingerspin dimple is a touch more forgiving to get in but a less solid lock once you’re there (though still pretty solid). I sold the Speedaholic even though I preferred it’s colorway.

Thanks! I always wondered if you could feel the weight difference but I’ve heard @LX_Emergency say the same thing that they are almost identical feeling. I really enjoy my shooting star. It was my first unresponsive and I still use it all the time.

You can feel a little bit of the difference in heft. The shooting star felt snappier on binds for me tho that may also be bc my shxx has more wear on its pads

The differences are extremely minimal.

Yesterday I got to try another one that’s almost the same again as Shooting Star and the Speedaholic.

I forget what it was now, but it looked almost the exact same. And there might be some differences…but I think I’m not good enough to really appreciate those.

Saw that Magicyoyo is also coming out with something that looks exactly the same.

Honestly at this point I’ll just stick with my shooting star. It does have one of the most forgiving fingerspin cups that I’ve tried. I think that’s the main difference. The iYoyo cups seem to be more oriented for people with fat fingers like myself. I ran in to the same problem with the Cheatcode when I got it. I locked in really nicely, but the dimple itself made so much contact with my finger than I didn’t get close to those amazing spintimes that their promo videos show.

does the anti-mono count ? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

More like a hybrid that one. Should be getting one any day.

YJYOYO Spinell is one of my favorite players, kind of under the radar. @YJYOYO is there an AL equivalent in your line up?

Short answer is definitely yes. Shape, design, weight distribution, feel etc are all different. 000 has more rim weight and spin time and is just a better all around performer to me, which is funny considering it’s an organic plastic. That’s not to say the Peak isn’t good or fun, because I personally prefer it over the 000. It just lacks a little spin time and stability, but it was also designed to be the plastic version of a yo-yo that released in 2006, so I understand why.
