If you have bought any yoyo at any price range what’s your favorite(s).
Easily the Magicyoyo y04. To me it’s a 10/10. There are other 10/10s but those are usually 3 times as expensive.
MK1 laze comes to mind at $45 as being good price to performance, otherwise I think the yyfr shortcut/ultracut are hard to beat at their pricepoints ($30 and $40 respectively)
i’d avoid any of the true budget manufacturers (magicyoyo, leshare, yoyoformula, yozean) because you roll the dice on QC with them
i got a d bearing joyride from Recess for $30 and remains an easy top 3 d bearing for me
Can’t go wrong with Monsoon for 45$.
Forma is awesome too if you want something more competitive focused.
Higher quality maybe motion:)
enthusiastic second on this one’s price to performance ratio
I mean I live many brands but the fact you can get some magic YoYo’s for as low as 15 bucks on certain sites makes it hard to beat. Literally all of the new models of myy are good for the price.
With that said I agree with the DD, Mk1 and recess recs too. FD is high on my list of good price for money stuff too
This BS. After having bought about 100 yoyo’s of all kinds of brands and tried many more at yoyo meetings this just isn’t true
The brand with the worst QC is yoyofactory. And even with them it’s not really a problem cause you can mail them and they fix it.
All other brands deliver good QC. It’s just that with plastic stuff it’s all tricky. Meaning Magicyoyo K2 but also Luftverk plastics and such.
All my yozean, Magicyoyos and leshares have been excellent. You ever had issues with them?
Yoyostudio s03. Sub $20 full size competition bimetal following current trends. I’ve played many, and have a competition set. All are really good. I got mine for $12 on sale.
Really not going to beat that, or even come close.
I have tried that YoYo at club and it surprised me how capable it is for the price.
I will note any YoYo sold on the rainforest website or even the over seas lamp version have occasionally had bad experiences only because shipping is sometimes garbage and worse protection than a bubble mailer that’s not on the brands but on the logistics of those large online retailers.
Otherwise 100% agree QC really isn’t much of an issue with most budget brands even.
Thankfully it’s made up for with pretty easy return process so I guess that could be considered a wash even
I’ve honestly never had a “bad” yoyo from yyf just lots of mid yo-yos that felt over priced for the quality. If they where maybe 15% cheaper I would have had no issue with the quality myself at all it just feels like yyf is on par with the budget brands at this point but pushing some throws at premium brand pricing…
3rd vote for the Edition Forma here, you will not be disappointed…
Maybe this isn’t as an impressive value as it seems like to me but yoyo friends has two 7068 comp oriented mono metals for $55. Also I haven’t tried any more recent releases from Mk1 but with people mentioning the Laze I’ll say their releases are usually a decent bit cheaper than I’d expect for the materials and design.
Laze is amazing!
I haven’t heard this one yet, but I like that non-descript description a lot, haha.
Pound for pound, YoyoFriends Ultracut is an all-timer for me. I will regularly grab it over throws 4 times it’s price. Definitely the best sub 40 dollar yoyo I’ve owned
