YYR missed the opportunity to remake the 10th Anniversary Draupnir (2013â2023), but they told me via email that they are not interested.

Haha. I think you and I wrote them the same email. It was surprising to me that they were not interested. I think they could have sold a ton; at almost any price.
It is too bad that newer players do not have a chance to buy/play one. Câest la vie.

I feel a big factor with any company that is making and selling products to the masses is that they donât want to be stuck in the past. It seems many YoYo companies view their work as iterative, and they just want to keep improving and working towards their next newest and greatest project.
It is unfortunate because sometimes itâs just done right and the people see it and want it, but the designers and manufacturers are always ready to move on. Also logistics sometimes dictate that that lighting in a bottle just canât be captured again.
As a laymen, I donât know why, but it doesnât seem to be as simple as âsend the file to the factory and turn the YoYo machineâ. There is a lot that goes into a run that more knowledgeable people can speak to.

Iâd like to see the Bapezilla made again. I was gutted that the Bape 3 didnât get a proper run. The prototype was made and was ready to go but unfortunately thatâs where it ended.
Maybe I should reach out to Elvin againâŚ
At least we got a nice big run of a modernised The End which I am grateful for.

Most of the mentality is honestly i did that, Iâm bored of that, I want to do something different now. Most brands the owner makes stuff they like and many of us change what we like over time.

I get that there are reasons why new runs arenât taken up. For hypothetical sake manufacturing isnât an issue. Think magical yoyo vending machine. What selection would you make?
I would love it if that vending machine could give me a brand new YoyoJam Speeder 2 in the pink-sparkle plastic. I loved that throw.

Spinworthy Flying Lemon would be a sweet rerun, lot of people never got a chance on those. Duncan GTR-JS is also not in stock anywhere I know of, and thatâs one of my favorite bimetals.

Mark and Glen may not agree and may be annoyed with this, but I think the RBC could use a third run. Iâd really want to see something like MK1âs Midnight Festival colourway on one. It is one that people tend to hold onto so it makes me sad to see repeatedly bumped LF threads for the RBC. I know I own 4, but I need backups!
And I know thereâs the PLASM, which is also great but itâs not the same. Doesnât have the same durability factor. I would also be interested in a smaller metal PLASM, but it wouldnât replace the comfort of the RBC.
Edit: oh and other possible colours could be a deep purple, purple fade, teal, and a dark red.
