What yo-yos have really impressed you this year so far?

Pure performance wise, YYF’s IQ is the most standout yoyo I’ve owned since the Draupnir in 2013

Enjoyment wise, definitely FH One AL with plastic caps.

This Yoyo is really good at any price point. The experimental ano and engravings just make each edition more fun to collect

I can’t put the mirage down.

Need to check Sense out, good pricing point from the get go. And they even considered the higher tier market with the newer Senti-metal.

+1 on the Next Journey. On first glance the specs/shape seem pretty average, but in play it’s just phenomenal. Very stable and maneuverable, especially considering it’s on the larger side of the spectrum. It glides on the string and it just has a “something” to it that makes it feel very easy to just flow with. The artwork is incredible and mine came GLASS smooth, probably one of the smoothest yoyos I’ve tried, although after falling on the pavement it did develop some vibe. It just feels like an incredibly refined yoyo, and for only $39.99 it’s an absolute steal.

Wraith and Loadout from G2. G2 makes a ton of incredible yoyos, but these two are absolute standouts. Loadout has become my first real EDC yoyo, outside whatever responsive/slimline is always in my pocket and I have never had a full-size EDC yoyo like that.

PLTPS from DocPop has been incredible as well

How could I forget the Jackal, this is a yoyo I bugged G2 Jake to make for a long, long time before he finally caved and made 30mm wide yoyo specifically to be the best pocket friendly yoyo. Its so much better than anyone could have expected. Get one if you haven’t

For me, it’s the YYF Spotlight Ultra. The yoyo is like a why didn’t I get one much sooner to understand why it’s a signature design models of one of the best competition players in the US.

Man that’s sooooooo interesting. It’s by far my least favourite yoyo
I can’t hang out with it. I’m trying to sell one :eyes:

Not to bash at all, just a nice reminder of how subjective this all is. And that beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol

Have you tried the Black Cannon?

I’m all about the YYF Genpop right now. Really really good yo-yo that I don’t hear many people talking about

I owned one for a long time, Jackal is more stable, less dense feeling, and has a slightly bigger catch zone due to the profile.

DD Oasis was shocked at how well this one played, kind of went for it on a whim and is a great smaller throw.

G2 Wraith - figured it was going to be a powerhouse and had delivered.
