Ohh those are real? Are they actual genuine bootleg SEs or just mods?

I don’t know the difference between a genuine bootleg and mods, but they go in the SE yoyo, and then they spinny spin. They fun.

But are they 11 grams?

They’re heavy, but I don’t have a scale. Heavier than brass domes, I have those. But of course it would win, that’s with 2 a bearings and stacks on them.

I cant wait to see the potential new summit 2.0 that they were discussing on a thread on here a few months back.

This oxymoron made me laugh out loud. :joy:

Other brands special edition Side Effects: generally we promised these would be exclusive to those brands and this includes Markmont

RSMs: There was one experimental run and we determined they are too heavy. Retired.

Stuntpegs: There was one experimental run and these turned out to be not fun and kind of dangerous. Retired.

They’re mods. I basically take a pair of spikes or energy domes, anything that has enough material, and cut a seat for a 5x10x4mm bearing, then tap it to accept a small screw that keeps the bearing from falling off. Depending on the hub caps that you decide to use on them, the weight can probably be less than or greater than 11 grams. Without anything on, they should be the same weight as a genuine pair of RSMS. They’re fun but I’d agree with the bearings and stacks on, for most side effect yoyos it ends up being too heavy. I keep a pair in my Parlay and I think that’s the only side effect yoyo that they’re not too heavy in. If anyone actually wants to purchase a pair, I kinda just make them on a whim so continue to bug me until I make them.

So depending on the hub caps you use, they can be lighter than RSMs, but they are the same weight as RSMs with nothing in them? Huh?

Also, how do you achieve 11g by removing material from a 3g Side Effect? Is it all in the screw?

I wonder if they’ll do a cerakote release? Both of the prequels they did. I’ve always really liked their cerakote releases. The finish is sooo smooth and appealing.
