What’s your travelin’ yo?

Wood Z (it’s thin, feels great in pocket) and Heist (it performs amazing for its size)

Lately, it’s been my PLTPS and Fluke. That’ll probably change when my Workhorse arrives.

These days, it’s usually one of my 3D-printed fixies.
They’re designed and tuned to my preferences, I can print them again in case something unfortunate happens to them, and I can give them away to random people I meet.

I’ve been carrying a couple 3D printed throws for the very same reasons. Mostly MR85 and A bearing versions instead of fixies though.

In addition to 3D printed throws, I’ve been carrying a PLTPS everywhere. But, the Workhorse V1 PIF arrived Sat evening, and hasn’t left my pocket since. Both such great pocket throws.

Lately it’s been a responsive yoyo. They’re just so calming even if I’m just throwing and catching. My original Deep State has been a longtime companion and coupled with spikes, I can still satisfy one’s DNA requests if I’m throwing in public. Also a Duncan Butterfly. Sometimes It’s nice when out and about to show that cool stuff can be done with a $3 toy. I keep a Duncan Butterfly (or 2…or 3) in my car.

doc pop DIY daily for a little over a year, sometimes a PLTYPS as a secondary, and almost always a Duncan butterfly on me daily. i have a lot of other great yoyos, but i don’t carry them on a regular basis because i don’t like risking dings when i can help it.

I’ve yet to be asked to DNA when yo-yoing for people, I should probably finally learn that lol

I’ll bring my shooting star when I go on trips.

It plays well, it’s cheap so I don’t really care if it gets messed up, and did I mention it plays well?

I’ve been buying Luftverks as my nice playing affordable throws, but I have given away my last Fulvia this weekend, maybe I’ll replace it with a shooting star next

For a long time, I’d always have my Zero Gravity Basilisk with me. It’s great for lots of stuff, and it’s fantastic at grinds and fingerspins. But eventually, I get antsy and want to bring along something new, so it tends to vary but it’s usually taken from one of two drawers that are dedicated to on-the go throws. They’re mostly ones that have a fingerspin dimple or their cup design makes that easy. Here’s what drawer #1 looks like:

The irony is that the last time someone at the doctor’s office asked me to do the DNA, I had the Unparalleled Ion with me which doesn’t have a dimple. I was still able to successfully execute the DNA, but it wasn’t a really long one. But the Ion has been my daily carry for weeks now, and it’s a really nice all-around yo-yo.
