What Kind of Cases are These?

I saw the iYoyo Titanic comes with this awesome case:

I’m curious if anyone knows what the name of this type of case is, or where you can get more.

The Titanic looks great, but I’d rather not have to buy a titanium yo-yo every time I wanted a case like that :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

“Hard case” maybe? Hopefully there’s a more specific name than that though lol. It looks like a cross between a pelican case and a treasure chest lol

This is one of the annoying ones because it built like standard aluminum hard case which are commonly used for for various things so if you search plenty of similar examples will come up but I don’t really see them in this size, I’m sure some supplier sells them, I’d use the dimensions to start.

Try camera lens hard cases too. I’ve gotten soft protection bags of square and similar size.

I will tell you Exactly what kinda case that is…

It’s a case for Sherlock Holmes…

Interestingly, I had just taken my IPad off the top of a book case. I took the IPad out of its’ case and logged to a Legal Library to study a case file.

While it was downloading, I decided to check out this forum, just in case.

…Actually, I talked to Dave earlier and asked him about the Origin of the Titanic Case. He told me he has them made to order from an excellent Company that specializes in cases to order.
He said they are expensive. But he wanted to Titanic case to align with the Quality of the yoyo

Vaultz sells these little metal boxes, they have several sizes, some of them can even be found at your local Staples. The Medicine Boxes are 5"x5"x7" , should fit a YoYo. Browse their site they even have smaller ones;

My iYoYo TiRROX also came in that kind of case.

When I see a yoyo in a case like this, I think ‘Can you just put mine in a cardboard box and knock $40 off the price?’

I think some yoyos are geared towards people who are not that concerned with prices.

I just laughed so hard I have a question. I was on my break eating leftovers here at work when I saw your post.

How does the five second rule apply when you laugh so hard pizza comes out of your nose?

Depends if it hits the floor or not.

There’s only one man who nose.
He’s a specialist doctor.
But I wouldn’t ask him. That snot the type of question he likes to answer, and he can smell free medical care seekers a mile away.

(I’m not very good at it, but I had to try :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

I think it would work. I’d wrap the yoyo in plastic first. I might enamel the coffin so it would not rot as fast. Tin would be better. A soup can with the lid soldered back in place would be best.

That may be true but that isn’t the point I was trying to make. I don’t want a very significant portion of the money I pay for a yoyo to go towards packaging.
