Good allounder: Y01 or Y03
Best light up unresponsive? Y02
Best cheap Bimetal: Z01 Focus etc
Magic yoyo don’t make the best yoyos of all time. But probably the best ones for the money on the market.

This. I threw the y01 for a long time and became my favorite overall monometal from magicyo. More power than y03 which is the difference maker for me.
Z02 chosen or Z03 redemption are the best performers, but the April M002 if you can find one is my personal favorite, such a fun throw. For one that is available and cheap, your two best options are the Y03 Hertz and Y01 Node. I personally like the Hertz slightly better, shape is a bit more forgiving.
The Crystal K2P is a great plastic option.
Get the Skyva, its only $15 here on yoyo expert.
