What happens if you put a yoyo string on a diabolo?

this might be a dumb question. but would it work? I cant try this cause I dont own a diabolo haha

if you mean put a string around the axel and try and use it as a yoyo then no the diabolo has no response or even walls to create friction and if you tried to throw it it would just drop to the ground.

Yea, my room mate got a diablo and I tried this. It is basicLly too bulky to get a proper throw and is pretty useless when it hits the bottom of the string. It comes back because their is so much friction around the axel, but it is a very slow return and have to meet it half way.
