Ok. So im planning on making my first actual video today. I need some editing software. Free and easy to learn, but with some cool effects. That would be perfect.
Any advice or ideas?

Windows movie maker works well.
I just use WMM
Well, I got Sony Vegas 8 for free… illegally, but still, free.

but my computer got messed up and I erased everything
now I’m too lazy to download it
think that WMM is crap, but i still use it. I got a virus from downloading illegal programs, so i dont do that anymore. Sony vegas is supposed to be good, and adobe premiere is good if you know how to use it.
I can’t open up my Sony Vegas Pro 9 software, because there are viruses. 
So I picked a great software, AVS Video editing (not free).
