Since the beginning of 2023 I‘m going through all my small and undersized throws in my collection. Partially to see if my skills have improved and partially to give them their time they deserve…and guys…sometimes huge joy comes in very small packages…

G2 Banshee 22 Al7 Custom
Might be the best playing throw I’ve got along with the SS

Pretty nice looking! All these banshee-posts make me a bit jealous, to be honest :sweat_smile:. Maybe one day I will get lucky to grab one myself.

I was gifted this Diffusion 2 from @yoyo_cubicle and I’m seriously liking it. I’m really glad one of these wound up in my hands, because this was a yoyo I always overlooked because of the high price tag for an injection molded plastic from 2014. It’s my favorite color of the yoyo too, so that’s a huge bonus for me. I love pastel light pinks.

Comfortable shape, not overly wide, has a really good heft to it, aluminum guts over brass to help keep the weight pushed out. They even come with an economy DS bearing. I feel like I’ve been really struggling to find a plastic yoyo that I actually want to keep playing, and this is the easily the closest I’ve gotten to my ideal plastic so far. For my yoyo preferences, most plastic yoyos are just too wide, too light, uncomfortable to hold, or too center weighted with brass guts/metal fingerspin hubs. I just wish it had a bit more weight in the rims, but everything else about this yoyo is a winner for me. I still want to grab a POM version eventually because the 70g weight of the POM version seems more appealing to me, but my plastic craving is totally satisfied for now with this.

Does anybody own a Monarch and a sOMETHING Speeder and/or has insight as to how different/similar they play?

@Albertino
Thx! I‘m in particular happy I got to snag those 66% throws. It‘s actually incredible how similar the full sized version of the Edge Beyond and it‘s 66% counterpart fell on the string and performance-wise. The Masamini 2 also is a great and fun performer. Only the response is a little bit off. I have to try to change the pads. The Zeekio Alpha Steel is way more stable as one would expect from an undersized organic throw. Being made out of steel really helps significantly. The Qubit isn’t the greatest performer to be honest but I think the creators had mainly fun in mind and they absolutely nailed it. I was surprised by the play and feel of the Photon (actually I don’t even know why I was surprised because imo Topyo always delivers). I just got it recently and I think it will become my new EDC for the next few weeks superseding my beater Hummingbird for a while.

Your are absolutely right but its a bit harder when you life in europe and the dropping times convert to somewhat between 1 and 4 AM :sweat_smile:

Damn… yeah I guess that would be inconvenient… tbh the glitches and secondhand market is lively enough I avoid drops these days… Too much fire comes up secondhand
