1973 Beetle! Has a 1776cc Mofocco engine with only ~3k miles on it (I basically bought the engine and it came with a car). I’m now the 3rd owner and it’s an original Florida car, somehow with no rust!!!

I had a 66 bug when I got out of the Navy in the mid 70s. It still had the 6 volt electrical system. :frowning:
I would love to have another one from that era!

Suuuper! Man that looks so rad!
I’ll be doing a full interior on mine, basically have a bare metal cab with seats in it right now. Really looking forward to removing the crash pad dash too. Wheels and tires will happen one day, but she came with brand new tires too, so itd be a sin not to wear em down first

Here she is in the garage her first night home:

*edit: funny enough, orange was my first color choice and white was my second…incidentally, this car was orange off the lot and then painted white by the first owner in the 90s.

Decided to try the fixed for February with my very first yoyo. Can recall very clearly going with my dad and one of brothers to get this at the drugstore, very good memory for me. Duncan imperial from I’m guessing the later half of the 60’s. And to bring me back to how good things are today, a Yoyofactory 888 Legendary

What year vw?

Sorry man but those are fake empi 8 spoke wheels. But from 68-79 the bug shared the same lug pattern of the Porsche 914.

The originals were magnesium. The rare desirable ones are two piece split rims designed so that you could hypothetically split the rim and swap out your street tires for drag slicks without a tire mounting machine. All the original empi 8 spokes have a center cap that is held on with screws.
I drove vw’s most of my life. Had quite a few that I wish didn’t sell. But I still have Wilbur, which is a 72 super beetle and was my first car.
