I’m back on a mono metal binge. Spinworthy Steadfast, One Drop Still Rollin, the new Turning Point/YYF Superstar, ZGRT Libero and my trusty C3 Radius 7068. Amazing how good mono metals are today.
The Radius always interested me, can you please write 2 words about it Dan? Thanks mate!
That’s a tough one bro little on the narrow side and a small amount of weight feeling during play. It doesn’t seem to have any problem doing anything I throw at it. Great for tech. If I wish to sort something out I often grab that. I was on the fence about it because it was $90 when it came out. Then I read @YoYoExpertGarrett mention he thought it was the best 7068. 2 or so years ago. And I don’t know where C3 source their bearings but I haven’t had a problem with any and they spin smooth and long.
Haven’t seen the rev 3 of the Katz Meow mentioned in over a decade on the forums. Any time this yoyo comes up now it usually seems to be the first two versions of the yoyo.
Version 1 had wider dif sized pads. Version 2 moved to these smaller diameter response grooves, but left the excess space from the old dif sized pads as a pure vertical wall. Version 3 shaved down the true vertical walls into a sloping wall angled outwards and they’re blasted.
Neat D bearing yoyo, plays much better than expected for an old 50mm yoyo. Probably on par with the 888. Which is to say it won’t blow you away, because it’s still very much a 50mm mono, but it’s really solid for what it is.
Another interesting aspect to this yoyo is the engravings being fairly deep and showing raw shiny AL. I heard somebody refer to this style of engraving as a jeweler’s engraving before.
Neat little piece of yoyo history. Foxland Precision is such an interesting company in retrospect.
My kids are entertained by Bluey (7 and 10).
I do feel the show sets an unrealistic expectation of parent interaction with their kids… Maybe just me.
Yeah, those are some super involved parents! Don’t get me wrong, I play with my kids, but Bluey is next level stuff.
Good morning! Laced up a fresh proto today. Raw blasted is always such a unique feel. Anodizing really adds to the play of a yo-yo, but I appreciate the deign a bit more when testing the raw version. This a the Grunt. As expected a little short and squaty. Not much else to say just yet, I’ve only put it through a few paces.
He did indeed, I was looking for small organics when I found this. Couldn’t be happier
Damn that Edge
I’m more go dog go speed.
Radix
Edge Beyond …. But yeah it’s pretty sweet.
I put a NSK Platinum in it.
Very smooth. Very powerful.
Enjoy the throw my friends
