I’m throwing my cerakote TopDeck and my Spinworthy Steadfast.
I though cerakote woul be a little tougher than it is. It lightly brushed my jacket zipper in play and got chipped. Still super cool.

How is the skyline 3 on wood? I’ve thought about trying it but wasn’t sure how it would hold up

I’ve always mildly worried about poly on wood but I’m not against trying it.

I’ve heard lots of horror stories about poly on wood. Skyline is like 99% nylon I think. I’d be curious if it’s as hazardous as poly. I love it on my survivalist. It would be so cool if the friction doesn’t burn through on wood. I haven’t tried every sting in the world but I’m pretty confident that skyline 3 is the best. I wish I could just put it on everything. Haha

That’s fair I’m not sure in nylon and wood. It’s a synthetic so my gut thought is it probably acts similar but I have no idea. I’ve always used cotton or a cotton blend on wood. I do toss poly or poly nylon blends in my plastic and metal fixed axles though.

It works well with those with response holes, otherwise it might be too slippy.
I’ve been using poly/nylon on a lot of my wooden fixies lately. Seems to be working well for me so far.
With this particular Knack + Skyline setup, I love how soft and elastic it feels, and response still remains consistent. It’s also a lot less snaggy compared to cotton strings. I also find that it has the right thickness for the Knack’s gap width and wall height to get nice STM arcs. I even broke my personal STM record with this.

Still Rollin came in today, really like these so far…not sure if I like the domes more than the ultralights, but it pull starts pretty nicely with the uls.
