Going to go see Barbie at the RT66 drive-in tonight.
Post movie update:
It was really good. Fun night.
Have a great time. I miss drive ins. Dam.
I’ve been out of the house so much recently that this is the only throw I really use. When I get home at night I’ll toss the holy grail or some woods before bed but not for long. This beast gets the majority of the play time. Taken a good amount drops and you wouldn’t be able to tell
How’s your Sebby, mellensue two tone or mid swap?
Was able to finally try out a JT Kagerou at DXL yesterday! (I figured someone would have one there otherwise I probably would’ve taken you up on your generous offer immediately @OhDavidBowie )
Here it is side by side with the Klondike, which is the main reason I wanted to try one out. The similarities are definitely there, but there are a few minor differences between the two. The Klondike feels a bit more hollow compared to the Kagerou’s solid & dense feel. Kagerou is heavier, spins faster/longer, and the slightly more aggressive shape/cuts translate to a the tiniest bit less comfort in terms of hand feel/on the catch. Pretty objectively (without my extraordinary bias towards the Klondike), the Kagerou is a better performance based yoyo, if pure/raw performance is the ONLY thing you care about. It actually reminds me of a heavy DaVinci in that way. But if you don’t mind just a touch of character and comfort sprinkled into a bangin performance yoyo, Klondike is for you.
Ya need to try Centrifugal - would like to hear your thoughts
I love that yo-yo and I love that colorway. I bought it IMMEDIATELY after finishing Peacemaker.
The first bimetal i bought when I started again and the contact juggling spheres i bought last weekend.
I wasn’t sure if I vibed w this kanto. It got very little play for a long while and I was even contemplating selling it until like two weeks ago when I realized it had a grooved bearing (dingus move to not check, I know). Turns out I just don’t vibe with grooved bearings and this Yoyo is actually ridiculously fun! Been really enjoying playing it recently.
I dont like grooved bearings either, they tend to be snaggy.
Glad you’ve fot a new found love for that Hyperbeam Kanto =]
Throwing my Lisianthus and met up with a friend who I gave my Uppercut to last month.
It was their first yoyo and they’ve already learned cold fusion and have started building their own combos with various basic elements they’ve learned. The last time I saw them they had only learned brain twister and how to bind. You love to see it.
thats so rad!!
