Stoked to play a lot of Yoyo today. Set out my favs for 1a plus these half swaps. I can’t tell if I love this half swap or hate it. Pretty hardcore…I’m definitely not chromophobic…hah I decided I love it!

I really wish they did the AllYoYo Loops in blue with pink caps for half swapping. As they are, I half swapped the all pink and pink with blue cap.

I get it. It’s hardcore and I bet the majority of ppl share your sentiments. I too wish they had done blue w pink caps! I regret not getting at least one all pink and going with both pink and blue but w/e idk I wasn’t thinking clearly when I ordered them.

Nationals was fantastic. I’m 100 years old and didnt realize it was two days so im traveling home today. Taking some bangers home with me.

I know I said I’d use the Legato 2 at Nats, but the grasshopper gtx is a very close second. Two months ago I woulda chose this first, but I’m starting get a little more speed and maneuverability in my style so now I’m not so sure anymore lol

I busted out a couple of my favorite Dressel Designs 5050s and took a stroll down memory lane:
Those are both really interesting, as they aren’t your standard colorways. I know that it’s hard to tell with just the two of them there with nothing else to compare to, but the left one isn’t clear - it’s a very lightly-tinged lilac. And the right one isn’t black, it’s a very dark gray that’s slightly greenish. I know for certain that it’s not black, as I dinged it during my first throwing session and tried to cover up the silver aluminum with a black Sharpie. So now instead of having some bright silver spots, it’s got some deep black spots 
Every time I throw a 5050, or the assassin for that matter, I always end up practicing my pull-starts. I certainly need a lot more practice on those, and these guys practically beg to do that!

Lovely shot! The clear especially is a unique pantone we found. It’s going to be our go-to for clear colorways; and shiny clear especially will be a staple for all our yoyos!! I got my lemonade 5050 today too

Seriously though, I always pick up the 5050 first so I guess I have a slight preference for that. But whenever I put the 5050 away I always end up grabbing the Assassin next. I would have thought that they’d be pretty similar, but they really seem to complement each other well. And the stainless steel gives it a very different feel, especially when I miss the string and it hits my belt buckle since it rings out like a bell. It sounds nice, but it’s a giveaway that lets everyone know that I screwed up! The Assassin is also a little more “standard” when it comes to dimensions. I really like the 5050, but it’s pretty wide. The Assassin feels more like you shrunk down a regular yoyo to a smaller size, whereas the 5050 feels like it was stretched to make its width match its diameter. But I don’t really have any complaints about either one of them and I usually give them equal time.

Slimline Razor Pocket Pros Zombie. (Came with o-ring response, unlike Small Minds Zombie.)
I’ve siliconed it and also tortured it a bit over the years, first using a wire brush to give it a grinding surface and later polishing that away. Still plays great.

With the lighting and my shabby camera it doesn’t come through that well. In person it actually does look pretty brown with a hint of rootbeer-ish.

Clears/Silvers/Raws are my favorite finishes and I have quite a few, but whatever was done with the clear Emotion makes it the best of them all.
