Swapping some SE’s and playing with (tuning) some of these. Have a near mint Nickel Mark Mont Next to replace my beat one I got a while back. Beater MMN might get carefully sanded and filed back smooth keeping as much as the nickel plating as possible and used as a 5A edc. Surprisingly besides the big dings the beat MMN is just as smooth as my near mint one. 
As an aside I need to find another set of brass markmont se for my Opus.

I find I just enjoy them more. Embrace the little marks they pick up along the way, and just enjoy playing with the yoyo! When you’re not worried about keeping it safe, you’ll have more fun with it!

Deadstock North Star I got for 10 dollars during the amazyzing yoyofactory sale. I think listing go offline today so hurry up if you what to snag one. I’ve also got a yellow clear plastic grind machine coming in a couple days from the same sale! Was my very first unresponsive yo-yo. I’ll never forgot yoyojoe in Delaware letting me try it out in store even though I could barely bind.
This is the updated version of the North Star which people say they hate but I’ve been enjoying it as much as my og protostar.

I think I’m going to hang on to these two. I’m done swapping around SE’s and tuning some SE OD throws smooth. 
Pleased with the results. 
But I need to hunt done some more brass SE’s to get the weights I want. Been throwing a lot of my OD’s lately.

30+ years later I finally made it to a Chico yo-yo club day at the Bird in Hand in Chico Ca. I picked up this cute fun Duncan and got schooled by some local elementary school kids. It was so awesome seeing all the kids running around playing with yo-yos. I let a few play with my Ti Fh1. Watching them play with it was the highlight of my day so far! I should’ve taken pictures but I was just enjoying the time.
