What did you throw 2023?

Loving the color palette. Such a nice picture.

Had my first kid come up to me at the park and ask if I could do the DNA. Did a pull start finger spin DNA second try on this YYF Edgeless 2022.

Also did a consolation Walk The Dog in the wood chips.

That’s awesome. Awesome of you for obliging too. I know some people think it’s degrading or whatever but I love engaging with people who are interested

Im throwing a ■■■■■■■■■■ Origen.

Its a fun yoyo, but its safe to say that any future SpinworthyXMK1 0A release is still warranted.

Yep they can all live in the same world. I like how we can’t tell if the blocked out word is a different yoyo vendor or an expletive.

Either way very excited for anything Mk1 x spinworthy coming in the future.

I read this comment quickly and thought to myself “well, that’s a little presumptuous…”

Then I looked again and saw it was @Glenacius_K himself that made it

I would be highly supportive of another collab!

I foresee some fingerspins on the Horizon(s) :joy: I picked up a couple of YoyoFactory B-Grade Horizon 23s, and I know that some people find them polarizing but holy smokes that’s a good-looking yoyo right there!

I wasn’t expecting much from the violet colorway, but it practically took my breath away when I first unwrapped it. After getting these two, I figured that it was time for a Horizon family photo:

Picked up a D7 (7075 Diptych) a few days ago. I was surprised there seemed to be very little written about it, and the a-rt website doesn’t list it nor its specs. It took me a while to realize the this is a dip.

In relation to the grail, the d7 is a smidge smaller in width and diameter. It’s slightly lighter (62g v 64g) than the grail but feels heavier on the string. It’s zippy, and the finish feels really nice. The “ting” is a little high pitched and less pronounced than the grail and 420 which is a bummer but i think that’s the 70xx aluminum.

I personally consider the grail a perfect average sized yoyo, the d7 is a ton of fun to throw and everything I had wished the sparrow was (similar to the grail, fun to throw, capable, and and a little unique). The sparrow fell short for me, and small yoyos in general like the snack, as they lack stability and feel like a novelty.

Id love to try a canvas but I am not interested in dropping that much on a throw. I am interested in a comparison of the og dip and d7 dip as im not sure if there is a weight/play difference.

I’m getting married in a couple weeks and, come Monday, I’m using only wood and plastics until then. Tossing all my metal stuff as much as possible while I can. Off early already and I’m about to be home alone all weekend woo!

Thank you! I’m really excited!

Edit: also what Yoyo earned that honor? I haven’t decided if I want to have one on me or not…probably not but I’ll have one close by just in case

I’m pretty sure it was my dad’s old Proyo roadster, but it’s been a long while might have been a Russel if I’m misremembering and I gave it to my brother some time ago when he asked to have our dads’ ashes and some personal belongings we still had. There wasn’t a whole lot after he passed and at the time I wasn’t as big into yoyos (or was just on a break with life so busy) that was honestly just something I had on me to make it feel like he was there at the time. It was that or a golf ball he used at a tournament, but the golf ball wasn’t as pocketable, so I went with the yoyo.

I’ll also add what’s on my desk currently

Pay it forward Silenus I’m waiting for someone to claim, pay it forward fat tire and panorama that I just got, Origen that my son walked off with the counterweight and my john gates se
