ANTiTHESIS club! My halfway package arrived today:
Imagine my surprise when I find a new plastic Duncan released and I had no idea. Duncan Spin Drifter arrived today. I’d love to see something with a ball-bearing axle, but for $10 it’s not too shabby.
So…is it a fixed axle with spinners?
Plastic transaxle with ball-bearing spinners.
Spoiler alert bro! Jk, that’s awesome, can’t wait to get mine.
@MarkD Mk1 Umbra b-grade. With a nicely matching @BadWolfeCo Slicc from the booster pack.
This Duncan Hornet arrived on Tuesday! Work and school have kept me at my desk all day/night this week so I am excited for Saturday to come so I can have some serious throwing and get used to this awesome yoyo!
After a brief stint in Russia the GBP finally showed up! Just in time with the daytripper too. Very happy with both although the GBP is gonna take some getting used to
What’s that?
The name is censored for some reason.
I presume it is the A-RT unnamed bi-metal. Those blank squares were used by A-RT to stand in for the lack of a name when they released it. Officially it doesn’t have a name (“unnamed” is not its name; it is simply an adjective). The lack of a name is more awkward than clever, so both the squares and the word “unnamed” have sort of become unofficially recognized as valid ways to refer to it.
Ah I see. A-RT have the same in the past, guess it just never occured to me.
actually as far as i know the boxes are the yoyos name, i think unnamed caught on because you can’t really pronounce the boxes but the official name is the boxes. i could be wrong tho
There was considerable confusion when it was released (I guess there continues to be confusion). A-RT officially confirmed that the yoyo has no name.
I agree with you, the name on my invoice from A-RT refers to it as the ■■■■■■■■. Kind of like the Artist formally known as Prince, was just a symbol.
