Super excited to pick up my 3rd #22 yoyo. This one happens to be a TiVader that I scored on trade from @venom. #22 is in remembrance of my late mother so besides being an over the top great throw, it has a ton of sentimental value. Sorry, not trying to get sappy on ya, its just that these 22’s started showing up after we lost her. Thank you, Frank!
I have to thank @YoYoExpertGarrett and the YYE team for setting me up with #1 and #2, 22’s (RSO Bowl Mini & Shutter Steel, pictured below). Didn’t get these today but know that the team went above and beyond to hook me up. THANKS GUYS!
Yes they work pretty well I would say! I got them from a local shop. I believe YYE has some different sizes as well.
In fact, just cleaning the bearing alone would make it unresponsive but the gap is too narrow for me, too much friction when doing tricks and the binds are not very satisfying even using very slim strings.
The shims I got are 0.5mm each which makes the gap 4.25mm, pretty close to standard Onedrop gap width. It is a bit too light as an unresponsive yoyo but surprisingly still very fun to play.
Sup Man, I didn’t test all of them, but Draken and Dragon, are terrific, but also Rebby, you should get the all in one pack, nice way to test.
Now why, Draken and Dragon are kind rough and I like that feeling, but you can’t slide much under tension, but for me is okay.
Rebby is like heavy, so it’s easy to control while in air…
They are thinner than Goldilocks (badwolfeco), and similar to normal Kitty, but feels good, not Bouncy, kind ‘dry’ string, I enjoy the feel.
Yeah I found rebby the weirdest feeling string and I would not try it again! I like amy a lot but it doesnt last too long . Bewd is the best of the ones Ive tried but not visible enough. Im looking forward to try cirrus and copi the most!! Gonna get some soon:grimacing:
I havent tried Cirrus yet, but I believe I will like that, also bewd, this one I’m saving for the last. Hahahah I like to play some hours to have a better perception. I’m digging Dragon and Draken atm.
BTW: throwing Hummingbird with it. Hummingbird with Spingear bearing, totally silent, sometimes I enjoy throwing silently.
I’m assuming you are talking about Blue Eyed Dragon. I love the way that feels but my slipknot always seems to become one with the loop knot - they merge and become inseparable. Rebby is great and lasts super long and is tougher and not super soft which is good for me.
I do like the feeling of those strings… I don’t know if there is a psychological aspect to make me prone to like those strings, cuz I like Mark style and also because I had to wait 4 months to actually get those strings… lol
immediately picking up the thunder it seemed almost hefty, which took me a bit by surprise. in play it has a full presence on the string.
when you mentioned the radian, i pulled mine out (gen 2) and played them
side by side to compare. the radian has a bit more zip to it… maybe comparing agile to
fully present on the string would
be the big differences
