A new delrin throw from a company called PlayXS, really cool! It’s called the DeVal, hugely inspired by some older stuff, particularly JD (name itself is a play on JD’s last name, Delvalle)

It’s definitely on the smaller side, around that 50mm mark. It’s a lot of fun! In the hand it reminds me of the YYJ Eneme, a very similarly shaped and sized yoyo. Gap is a little narrower than today’s yoyos but that’s the charm of a mid-school era yoyo. If you play cleanly, it will reward you. It will also let you know if your play is sloppy 
If there’s 1 thing I’d change on it, I’d make the spikes just a tiny bit sharper. I can pull start this but takes a little more finesse on both holding and the pull. It’s an adjustment. I guess I’ve been used to SPYY sharpness on the spikes, especially my Spyder. Overall, I’m enjoying it! It’s something different in my collection.

Decided I needed a Metavity and it arrived a few days ago:
This thing is dope! I might be honeymooning a bit, but this might be my new favorite yoyo. It has all the performance of a performance yoyo, but has the soul of an organic throw. The weight feels right in the sweet spot between floaty and palpable, and is just extremely capable. It’s not too fast, not too slow, but just how I like it for my flow. Not to mention mine is dead smooth, which is just an added bonus. It might just be the best modern yoyo ive ever thrown.
It also came with some Knot Bad strings, which I think are hands down the best bulk string ive tried (Kitty, Monkeyfinger).
edit: forgot to mention, it has IRG! As stupid as some people think they are, I love doing thumb grinds, so this is just another perk of this yoyo imo.

Finally! I have been waiting months for my FA (#13/30) to arrive and decided picked up a couple of extra things along the wait, including par avian. all arriving today! they are both sooo smooth

Mail day! Got the fallen angel, toonie and the Leo Sniper Mk-II a few days ago haha. I actually got duplicates for all of them but I’m just to lazy to pull them out after I have kept them in a box.
