The mailman just dropped off this🙃
I am loving the Boost. It feels light and fast, yet powerful, which I have never really experienced before. Also my finger is mostly healed, and I need to make up for lost time😆
The mailman just dropped off this🙃
Added this cool cat to the collection today. The finish on it is great, way more blasted than the Daytripper or Deep state. Definitely unique enough to justify purchasing right?! Right?!
Is this the MG? If so, I have the white one.
There’s not much MG in the market, so you are buying a very niche category. I guess this is the hype you are referring too?
It didn’t impressed me either compared to my other TP’s. But this played better to other MG’s I’ve tried so far (not many).
Bearing - I’ve talked to Kentaro about this. One of the yo-yo he shipped me has a similar issue. I guess it happens to most of his international orders? I live in Florida, so all my bearing are broken anyways lol.
Nah man, it’s the ‘Another Douska’ … just 6061 AL. The colour was described as ‘Stone’ - which it does look like based on the finish, it’s actually pretty cool. Regardless, for the price, I’d expect the quality to be better (mainly referring to the bearing & response). It’s a little annoying to have to clean or replace the bearing, replace pads out of the box.
It’s probably the TP Ti throws that receive the ‘hype’, I know they’re well received. I just assumed quality would be across the board on all their throws. Maybe I was just unlucky with this one?
I think bearings coming dirty and needing cleaning isn’t really the company’s fault. It’s just what happens when the yoyo has been in the package for a long time. Literally every single one of my yoyos that I receive need their bearings cleaned within an hour of taking them out of the package. It’s a normal thing. After cleaning, all the bearings work great for quite a while.
Yeah, fair call. Generally it’s not a big deal…in this instance I think it was more of a mindset based on price (for a mono metal) & being my first TP throw. My expectation was probably too high…which usually leads to a level of disappointment when it doesn’t stack up!
I do not know about that specific model. The only tp ive tried till now has been the st elmo. And at first i thought hmm its an ordinary yoyo. And then a year later I had dinged it a thousand times trying to learn 5a and set it on fire and it still was the smoothest throw.
Maybe if the bearing and response are your complaints, just replace those and see if you like it much better?
Yeah, for sure man. Will definitely be keeping / giving it a proper play to see if my first impressions change. I reckon my ‘expectations meter’ may be coming in to play here as well. I’ve probably hyped it based on what I’ve read / others high praise of TP throws in general.
My first taste of boutique string and my first real pocket throw. Was a great mail day.
Plump Seal Strings, Shuriken Senban and a Recess First Base.
These strings are fantastic and the Senban is even better. I bought it based on @ChrysaeThrows review and wow what a great throw. Really enjoying it so far and it fits in my skinny jeans no problem
It’s not here yet and this is mostly a shout out @sparhawk Thanks for the tip buddy I really appreciate the little things!
Frank’s latest is on its way………
Also bought a minty Tank for 40$ free shipping.
Frank’s the Man!!! @Dif-e-Yo
Thank you for picking one up! Great to hear that it’s pocketability is approved by your skinny jeans
Thank you, I might put it on my Christmas list. My parent are from Italy. My father is from a town near Rome and my mother is from a small town near Naples. I was born in the United States. I know very little Italian. It is good to talk to a fellow paisan.
I received a box of red keychain bottles with slightly different custom engraving than the blue ones I received last time. You could say I was plussed.
You are in for a real treat, sir.
He helped me out with a KK D bearing a while back when they were kinda hard to find
