I suppose it is on the heavier side. It deceives me since its so small.
Some very special yo-yos
Scored!!!
If you decide to let it go Iām first in line please.
You might want to keep some desiccant in the case with it due to the magnesium. Ernie sent me some for my Magnum.
Such a great yo-yo! Iām not a big fan of bi-metal yo-yos, but I absolutely love this one and I throw it all the time. It has such a unique finish too.
Got this 420 in the mail yesterday. Itās better than I even dreamed. I need a grail now. Anyone want to trade? Lol
The avocado half swap is my favorite colorway of theirs. I hear so many great things about the 420, but I donāt know if I would actually enjoy playing an oversized yoyo.
So I prefer undersized yoyos normally but the 420 plays like nothing I have thrown. I canāt really explain it well because who can explain yoyo feelings. It plays like its much smaller than it is but also feels big and fun at the same time. I know that sounds crazy.
What I am saying is if you have the chance to buy one do. At worst you donāt like it and you sell it within twenty minutes of posting it.
I will be the debbie downer of the bunch and say I donāt like the 420 that much. I mean itās OK as a ālook at how big I amā side show, but the Grail is an all around better yo-yo.
Very nice score with the Anti Yo Viszilla, I think @codinghorror has a pic he posted no too long ago with a nice collection of Anti Yosā¦ (Im tots jelly)
First impression of the colossus 4?
Okay, well, bear in mind it is a first impression drawn from only a few minutes of play. For $28 it is a decent monometal for sure, but it doesnāt feel particularly remarkable in any way. At twice the price Iām not convinced it beats a MagicYoyo Y01 Node in overall playability. Its response pads are a bit slippy, so I may use it as a guinea pig for flowing my own silicone pads.
IMO, best response is flowable.
I believe that too. Of course, it is a bit like soldering: until you get good at it, the results tend to be sloppy and unreliable.
Flowable silicone is the best for sure, especially since you can recess the pads - clear silicone is harder to gauge so I would definitely invest in the red flowable silicone as itās easier to see the liquid pile up.
Red rtv and Clear rtv silicone both feel the same once they dry - Copper rtv slicone is a bit harder when it dries so if you like your pads to be less grippy then copper is the way to go.
I figured Iād slightly overfill and then use the corner of a credit card to affect the recess.
Remeber cleanup is much easier, and less frustrating, once it dries.
Thatās what she saidā¦
Not sure if you know this, and I havenāt seen it mentioned here but the difference between flowable and RTV aside from color, is that flowable silicone is self-leveling and RTV is not.
For this reason, flowable is generally easier to use because you donāt have to worry about getting the surface completely 100% smooth; it will level itself for the most part.
RTV is also pretty easy to use, but you have to be more detailed when leveling It Off because if you leave a little dollop or ridge, it will dry like that.
And like @Applepooh mentioned, all you have to focus on is getting the actual response area dialed in. Donāt worry about the excess that oozes off the edge into the catch zone or into the bearing seat. You can just rub it off with your thumb or rag after it dries.
Okay, thatās all I wanted to mention
HAHA LMFAO, why though?
