What did you get in the mail, 2026?

Haven’t had a mail day in a while.

I literally had to walk through 2km of waist-deep flood water to get these, but it was definitely worth it. :pinched_fingers:

Edit:

The yoyos are

  1. An A-RT Orphan from @Markmont

  2. A Honeypot from @Adrielecc

  3. A Returner that I half-swapped with @TryCatchThrow

  4. A copper Nap from @tylerseverance as my Antibanger prize

I spy a Honeypot!

I did not just get this in the mail, but I got it for my birthday today while on a camping trip.

I don’t play unresponsive as much these days, but I really like the Honeypot. It has a fantastic feel! Great job @heshgod.

Yesss! Happy Birthday, @Xanadu !

I remember we were just chatting a while back about how we’d regularly check the Honeypot thread 'cause we couldn’t get it out of our heads. Lol.

Fortunately, I was able to get an awesome deal thanks to @Adrielecc in the exact color I wanted.

The Honeypot’s just lovely, and even better than I imagined. It’s perfect for EDC and how I play unresponsive, which still heavily involves flips, varials, and stalls. Awesome work, @heshgod !

Is it an empathy?

Yessir, it’s called Jonny, empathy made it for the 2025 Faye Webster Invitional

That sticker will be going straight on my laptop, and the yo-yo right into my pocket.

Hey, Bruce! Yeah, I’m lovin’ it!

The stock bearing was a bit too dry for me, so I changed it to a lubed one with rubber seals. Now response is just how I like it. :ok_hand:
I knew it would play great when I first saw the specs, but throwing it firsthand is a whole new kind of joy.
Everything about it is right up my alley — the profile, weight, zippiness, response (just needed some lube ) and power.
Keith was also kind enough to let me have both unengraved halves. The engraving looks really cool and clever, but I just prefer the more minimalist look.

Amazing work, dude! :oncoming_fist:

I love mine!! It really is very zippy and incredibly light but still has presence

Awesome, I am beyond stoked to hear that you’re digging on it

And thank you! It was a ton of fun to draw and I have been addicted to drawing MR85 tug responsive designs since. I hope y’all are excited to see what else we’ll be bringing to this scene, I know I am.

Yeah, the dry bearings got me pretty good… I blame the Florida humidity!

While testing, they seemed plenty snappy enough, but I realized once I hit the arid climate of the desert (during Nationals) that the bearings were just dry as sin. I bought lube at the show and did my best to share it with everyone who came by, but the Returners were already QC’d, packed, and many shipped at that point.

We’re looking into more appropriate bearings for the next run. Although, these dry un-shielded ones would be great in a beefcake

Heck yeah! Glad to hear it

My halfswap is still in my daily bag and has been perfect not only for me, but for those that want to try when I’m out in public.

I cringed a bit when someone walked the dog with it on concrete the other day, oh well, c’est la vie

Ooh, sounds like there are more responsive (and beefcaked?!) MR85 return tops in the pipeline — I’m all for it! :raising_hands:

I was hoping for one of the Seth Bucks colorways but I missed out. Still hoping things work out where I can get a second though.

We definitely need more Sethbucks in our lives.

900 more episodes, 400 years of Sethbucks!!!

Seriously though, I can’t wait to run Seth’s colorway again… and his own signature throw, too

I’ve been on a mono-metal journey of late and I’ve looked at the Haymaker Aluminum for quite a while now so I pulled the trigger. I got it and on first throw it was very vibey. I tried cleaning the bearing, changing the bearing and nothing helped. Called @YoYoExpertEric and he got the guys to find another and test it to make sure it was good and sent it out with a return label. I got it today and what a different yo-yo. It’s crazy how much bad vibe can change the feel of a yo-yo. I was on the fence about whether I even wanted to replace it but I feel like I’m cheating someone if I do that sort of thing. I’m glad I stuck it out. I really like it. Thanks to the gang at Yo-yo Expert and I’ll have your return in the mail tomorrow.

I’ve looked at the Haymaker since release, glad to hear you ended up with a good one and it plays well.

A quick photo of the new Laguna 67 since I wasn’t sure about green and black. But in person it’s very cool looking, the green is darker than I expected. Darker green than what my photo shows. So far very impressed with play and glad they went ahead and produced it. Definitely going with me when traveling
