i think there are slight differences in the cup. the curve/circle is more rounded out in the mcmo vs the mmc

Yes, that nickel you posted is a MCMO. MMC has a sharp cut inside the cup around the SE, whereas the MCMO has a rounded radius in the same area.

I’ve only thrown a Chief one time and it was like 10+ years ago, so I honestly can’t compare them.
