Could you please summarize how the motif plays and feel like? I am thinking of buying the gold colorway. Looks really nice but is it nice for tech and flow style tricks?

Don’t let that wheel convince you that all wheels suck. If it’s good, that’s great! If it’s not, try to find a vintage fixed axle wheel secondhand. They’re usually pretty inexpensive and quite possibly my favorite fixed axle.

The man, the myth, the legend, @KSnow hooked me up with a baller care package after breaking my elbow. The loopers and instantly took me back to when I first picked up one of my dad’s old yo’s as a youngster.
I’m super stoked to have a way to keep on the yoyo grind as a one-armed bandit.

you know my favorite yoyo is 20 different yoyos. The butterflies know they’ll always be my number one rec for anyone looking to get into fixie

That’s good to know, because it was super disappointing. Definitely among the worst yoyos I’ve ever thrown. But, that also just makes me determined to mod it into something that plays well.
On the other hand, the Unknown Freehand One exceeded all expectations, it’s so much fun to throw.

I think you can fit a bearing in the wheel but I can’t remember what size. But yeah, freehand one is such a great yoyo. I waited 3 and a half years after my reintroduction to yoyo before I finally tried one. I was blown away. I feel like freehand one is the sole reason that my responsive skills are where they are. The weight makes string tricks like kwijibo and GTs relatively easy so I was able to get a feel for it and now I can even do it on some fixies. Love freehand one!
