Heck yeah! I’m glad it made it and is playing good. Let that stock string get a little ratty, then throw on that alphaline with some chapstick. She’ll really come to life then!

Word fixie from Boise Woodworks. This is their imperial shape, they have a winged as well. They come fixed axle or with a bearing and brass starburst response. I am still trying to dial in the response, so I cannot speak to play just yet.

Bit of a nostalgic mail day today. I had a yo-yo growing up called the Aoda Classic, unfortunately it stripped one day on me and wasn’t useable anymore. I’ve been looking for another for a few years now but have not been successful. A few weeks ago, I came across a seller who still had a few. They’re dusty from being in storage, and don’t have the best anodizing or machining quality, but I’m happy to have come across a few of them. The one at the top is an Aoda Perfect Storm, a copy of the Takuto L2. I’ve upgraded the bearings for concave ceramic D sized bearings.

Kinda but also kinda not. The similarity really is only the spike. The shape is rounder and these are heavier at 73 grams.

I still am having troubles getting it to perform the way I’d like but that is more a testament to me and not a fault of the yoyo likely. So I don’t want to really speak on it until I get it dialed in.
I likely should have went with the bearing model
