What did you get in the mail, 2025?

I too just had knee surgery! Fellow yo-yo knee surgery person, we heal together! LOL.

Old man talk: What did you have done? My cartiledge was damaged, and my meniscus had to be re-stretched and anchored. No walking for 2 months… no yo-yos, and I live on the second floor. My poor wife has been a rockstar so far, but I can’t imagine her having to continue to balance this for the next 6 weeks… ugh.

So so so glad you nailed it in first proto. It looks amazing!

Edit: I know you said you prob won’t do a run, if you have time later, can you post diameter and width, I’ll try to get Ed to make one out of the hardest wood he has if that’s cool

We do! I hope you heal fast and are on the mend my friend.

Meniscus surgery to remove 3/4 of it. I fell down a section of a flight of steps prior to my spinal surgery in March. I landed on my knee and shattered the inner meniscus. In PT for the spinal surgery, they found the injury which needed remedied so I can continue PT.

So I throw when I can, for as long as I can as I recover.

The End - Part II

Not really, because I can’t stand for 2 months lol :-/ I just feel like crap too on the meds. Ugh. Sports injuries catching up, when you run your knees through the ringer with football, basketball and aggressive inline for ~20 years I guess it catches up with you later. Haha.

Man I tried to yo-yo with a Hyper Accel Origin sitting down since the string is short and I couldn’t work my brain to make it enjoyable lol. Felt so weird.

Hope your recovery is good too! I’m struggling on crutches this time around, idk - I have had 3 knee surgeries before in my teens, but this one as an adult is killing me.

ooof, i havent touched a yoyo since the early 2000’s but recently bought this kid’s summer outdoor toy pack from walmart that came with the crappiest plastic fixed axle i have every laid my eyes on…my daughter is only 2 so a yoyo is a little out of her realm atm so i played with it for a day or two then picked up a duncan imperial on amazon…then i started diving down the blackhole that is yoyo’s nowadays…so here is a pick of my first 3 yoyos in 20+ years:

unfortunately i have a problem and now have a bi-metal bumble bee from ebay on the way and i picked up a ZGRT Trekker that was dropped last night. Now if i could only find my old henry’s viper and turbo bumble bee i would be STOKED!

edit: ill also add that after a little break-in, the MK1 Plasm is super fun!
