ooof, i havent touched a yoyo since the early 2000’s but recently bought this kid’s summer outdoor toy pack from walmart that came with the crappiest plastic fixed axle i have every laid my eyes on…my daughter is only 2 so a yoyo is a little out of her realm atm so i played with it for a day or two then picked up a duncan imperial on amazon…then i started diving down the blackhole that is yoyo’s nowadays…so here is a pick of my first 3 yoyos in 20+ years:
unfortunately i have a problem and now have a bi-metal bumble bee from ebay on the way and i picked up a ZGRT Trekker that was dropped last night. Now if i could only find my old henry’s viper and turbo bumble bee i would be STOKED!
edit: ill also add that after a little break-in, the MK1 Plasm is super fun!
Hyper Accel Origin and Wing. Have been throwing the short string Accels from the couch while recovering (like I said above) and I definitely enjoy the wing a lot more. The origin is so small and light.
I am most happy with the Yomega Fireball Glow - I want to play with it when I heal up, but I really don’t know if I can convince myself to open it. It looks so friggin cool to me, absolutely in LOVE. It will go with my fireball from the 90s I still have, as well as my old xbrain Yomega. The RB2 is nos too, but I will definitely give that a little play. I Love those so much, just puts me in a happy place.
Edit: For my beyblade homies on here, peep the CX Arc Wizard and purple arrow wizard.
Finally, a new product has arrived that I wasn’t really expecting - Copper!
I expected it to be a fairly ordinary bimetal, but in fact I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a bit like a mix of Apathy and Sybil, which I think turned out very well.
If Apathy is unbridled aggressive power, then Copper perfectly directs this power along the string. And some continuity of form from Sybil gives it a more fun style compared to other relatively heavy yo-yos.
I’m very pleased with both the quality of execution and the feel. Once again I’m convinced that empathy makes things!
Got these in yesterday, mostly thanks to the help of a friend. TMBR PockeHt, Spinworthy Survivalist, Blackbird, ZGRT El Mijo, more Cabal kits, and some green spike side effects (my new Janus needs to also work as a top).
I knew this would be impossible to get if I waited so here it is! Luzumaki Maple. Nothing special under the caps but they were on there way tighter than my other Maple. Loud pop!
