What did you get in the mail, 2023

I’ve never thrown a normal Caesar but the helium is the PERFECT weight for the shape ime… shame he discontinued it

Picked up this red VTWO at DXL today, since it’s a OD I didn’t have yet. I appreciate the rim weight and stability on this guy, and the bead blast is nice to have as well, especially since they’re not doing it anymore.

My favorite and exactly the same as yours.

The VTWO is my favorite monometal, and that one is a gorgeous specimen. I just love that blasted red finish. :+1:

Is this like a switchblade without a sharp edge? If so, that would be pretty cool to learn while minimizing the actual danger.

I lost track of this. How nice! So rewarding when someone is able to acquire a less commonly available yoyo.

Yes and no. That is a bali trainer aka the yoyo of the knife world. Perhaps once a weapon turned into a skill toy.
Switchblades are generally spring loaded automatic knives. Balisongs aka butterfly knives are a Filipino utility knife design that happens to be good for flipping around, doing tricks, and cutting yourself in the process. I EDC a benchmade 51 and i have a boker as a backup when the 51 is getting tuned up at benchmade. One of those poorly understood designs that is actually superior to most folding knives, but since it takes a modicum of skill and practice to use properly most people will never realize it.

Yes! Butterfly knife is what I meant.

Would recommend getting a trainer if knife flipping interests you. Stitches on fingers are not fun.
Back on topic, my mail haul since i joined YYE forums.

Freehand nextgen because I had to see for myself what the FH line had done in my absence. Honestly impressed.
OD Nitro. Feels like a baby butt smooth metal projam.
Dizzodized AnTithesis. Too pretty to pass up. Was a bit snaggy with the fresh pads on but it broke in pretty handily.
Also the Sochi 12 throw case. Not bad but I prefer the old definition of hardcase. Only putting plastics in it.

I call them yoyos…with consequences  i have some gnarly scars on my hands from my benchmade 51

Feels so light that it barely feels like a real knife, right up until it reminds you that it is, in fact, a razor sharp benchmade.

Couldn’t agree more. :+1:

It was an awesome mailday to say the least. 2 Overtures, Panorama, Kilamajaro, End 2 and Grado SR60e. I may have sold off some really nice throws to make this mailday happen, but I am liking what I am seeing (and hearing so far.)
