Dedhed designs counterweights
Awesome!!! So glad to hear you’re enjoying the Bathysphere!!!
It was great to meet you at the event, thank you for stopping by our table! We appreciate your support
Really digging this AL7 Albatross I got. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ti albatross or the decade, but this just feels right. Also loving the fact the old G2 throws are becoming affordable again.
I got my Titan too! Got about 3 minutes on it so far but its smooth and I really like it. More thoughts later I’m gonna go throw it a bunch.
That color combo on the fade is crazy hot wow
Received the Yjyoyo Wilderness 7075 and the Yoyofactory I sorta like surprise’s bundle. I prefer the Wilderness 7075 over the 6061 version. The new bimetal is good.
So got some Markmont strings, few of each and a sample pack, unfortunately I absolutely hate them, I ordered the “thick” but it feels like playing with dental floss. It’s looks like half the thickness of my plutonium. I do normally use Ammo but it was really thin in comparison, so much so that I couldn’t get the night moves i tried with my obesssion+ to bind, also one I pulled out of the pack was knotted at the end weird and the tension was super loose so had to toss it The tension is really weird for me on all of them I felt. Will keep them maybe for emergency but pretty disappointed, I get that everything is a personal taste but guess today I figured out I just prefer the fatter softer strings and maybe not a fan of polyester ? Tried the cumulus foam on my shade for about 30 mins and just did not feel good to me. Back to ammo and maybe that will end my trying new strings journey.
Thank you so much
Markmont strings are unlike any other I have tried. I think that makes them great, but it could just as easily mean someone else does not like them at all. I’m sorry to hear that you are in the latter category.
I think it is worth hanging on to them. My tastes in string can shift drastically over time. I’m just getting back into Markmont strings after a long time with Zipline nylon blends that are very different.
If Ammo is your normal then I get why you think Markmont strings feel like dental floss. I tried Ammo once for like 5 minutes and it felt like I used a thick piece of yarn on my yoyo. Felt overly thick and odd. I removed it and never touched it again. But like @hsb said, tastes change over time, so I should probably give that Ammo another shot at some point. And I do love YYSL in general. I use their string more than any other.
Thank you I’m so happy with it. Happy to see everyone getting Titans in and enjoying them.
Y’all really hit the ground running with this one. Such beefy rims! I’m having a lot of fun with it.
Thank you! thought a lot about the design and had awesome help from Mark to bring my vision to light.
thanks for the heads up. Asoras are the only pink throws i get excited about
You could try to toss one of the night moves the wash. Mine always feel softer after washing. It sounds like they probably just aren’t the strings for you, but worth a shot. Also they are specifically tribodal poly, and I think they’re one of the only string makers using tribodal poly. Tribodal makes a much slicker string than other types of poly. This is good for me because I like the way the string slides against itself but it does make binding harder or require a different technique. Just to note so you don’t write off all poly strings. Bummer you don’t like them tho.
I got a Magic K2 Crystal as a Christmas gift for a buddy that’s getting into throwing.
Responsive bearing, figured it’s a good start for him!
