Received my Traveler today also. Was late getting home.
Full disclosure: I am still a Noob to Unresponsives and only have a hand full. My two go too unresponsives right now are the SW Steadfast and the MK1 Dynames.
Not really a comparison to the previous yoyos mentioned, but super unique to me.
Been playing with it for the last 30 minutes, and I really like it.
This yoyo has a Nostalgic feel to it. Similar to yoyos I had and lusted after back in 2010/2011. The spikes ARE sharp and really cool.
Anodizing is amazing and crisp.
And for the one or two fans I may have out there. This yoyo will not be capable of Half Specing without shaving the bearing posts down. I am not willing to deface this yoyo like that.
I can niether confirm nor deny that I may have tried to Half Spec this…

The Galaxy colorway looks really good on the 5050 and I’m envious 
I only have the OD Cafe Racer which was the only other 50 diameter throw I have. Modern throws are so different compared to releases 12 years ago.

May I ask you a question here? For what throw you use the BadWolfe Co. Dummy Thiccs? I have two bags of them which I ordered out of pur curiosity but even on throws which a gap larger than 4.5 mm, I find them just to be waaaay to thick. The only throw which they worked kind of o.K. was the YYF Koi. But since the pads are fully broken in, I recieved also a lot of snags whith the dummy thiccs.

When I see YYF was releasing them in the champion collection at a very affordable price I got super excited but than not even time to check the shop and they were all sold out in a second, just a bummer it made me quite upset honestly.
After more than 10 years dreaming to have one and finally:

I remember when my friend Gianluca used to let me borrow is 888 aqua bring it at home and play it until the next meeting, learnt so many tricks with this yoyo and always wanted one but the price was insane back than for a student without a dollar, with the Wasabi have been my favourites throws back then and absolutely out of my wallet.
Finally today I received at home one of my dream yoyos, is unbelievable after all those years still play well and while quite unbalanced still can keep up with many modern tricks, such a bomb.

Added also some Sochi - Phoenix as are Mir and Miri Kim strings, so curious to try them

Ah yeah some DD44 action! I remember John had a whole bunch of those made up for his site years ago. They are pretty rare these days! Awesome to still see them thrown!

Very curious to hear how the string plays compared to the normal sochi
I got this beautiful Baryon not in the mail but from my friend @ice1000 last weekend. I had always wanted a Baryon, I love undersized yoyos. Tesla asked me if he gave me it if I would drive him to worlds next year. I told him I already was hoping he’d want to go to worlds with me so I didn’t have to go by myself. He still insisted on giving it to me anyway. Thank you so much brother! Its been awesome finally meeting yoyo friends in person. I love this yoyo, its probably my new favorite yoyo. It is very similar in specs to my good life Valley which was my favorite but with more power and stability.

As an old fan of Tom Kuhn stuff and responsive yo-yos generally, I think these have more or less seen their day already. The AXL is pretty much a rip on the SB2 but with silicone response. It might be interesting to see some new designs from them or to see them make some stuff for/with other designers. But beyond nostalgia not sure what they’re offering, especially for the money. And I did just buy one and like it enough. Just saying NOS sell off might be all they need to do. Apparently they’ve got quite a few (hundreds?) in stock.

@yoyospirit traded with me and was far too kind. Got the top 4 from him in a mystery trade. He is beyond trustworthy. He included a Traveler, his knew throw. I’ll be giving it a proper write up when I can get it out of my hands. The Hitman is just undeniably beautiful. The Polycrash spins for days, and I think the other is a Freehand? I am very pleased.
And @jeffreypang911 , many thank yous for the replacement Peak, I love it, even more than my plastic 000 which is saying something because that thing is insane. I can see how much love and work you out into the Peak… I dropped mine just the wrong way and he was kind and replaced it, even though it was my clumsiness. Yoyospirit is bringing the old one back to life, excited to see what he does

Haha, they were busted halves I got from @YoYoExpertGarrett. The solid spin system stripped. I cut the hub out and installed a FHZ hub. It had more vibe than I liked so I built the bearing seat from scratch and pressfit it in the FHZ hub with some epoxy.
Figured you would enjoy the Traveler too with your preferences for round shaped yo-yos.
