That’s insane, I normally trade almost every yoyo after some time, just to be able to play tons of throws at the cost of shipping.
Not this one. Side note, my best friend that I grew up yoyoing with, he had two favorite yoyos, the Hitman and the XCon. I’ve never had a Hitman, so this will definitely bring solid memories of him as he isn’t with us anymore. I was interested in seeing what randomness would come my way, and it’s always beautiful when the randomness proves not to be random at all.
Another side note. The Traveler grinds for days, and the spikes are perfection for matador. SPYY vibes as well with your twist, so stinking good. The splash job is fantastic too.
I think the AXL Elite and Reactor are fantastic for modern responsive. I can’t put my Elite down. I can’t say the same for the standard AXL or Mag. Fun, but not as fun as some of the others.
I’d tell anyone to pick up an Elite. At 42 grams is lighter than the Reactor and Chain Reactor. I’d like to see them continue production of the Elite or update it.
I’ve had one or two issues over the years and always so fast to respond and solve the problem. Main reason I keep loyal to them. Maybe I’m old but customer service matters so much
No, you’re right about it. Customer service is the biggest deal. I am really impressed with how they handled my complaint and resolved it. This was my first issue I had with something I ordered from here and they were amazing about it.
Also once I got the smooth Hideyoshi in and tested it a bit, I polished the catch zone a bit with the soft polishing bits and polish from my dremel set. Visually it looks the same but it seems to take a lot longer to eat through string, if it still is. I think it’s still a bit abrasive but it’s much better after a quick polish.
Have to be honest I never tried the normal Sochi, those strings are so similar to the Zipline x Sochi - Alphaline, it seems actually the same string, this one seems just slighty better at keep the slacks open and it seems perfect “out of the bag”, I didnt noticed any time to let the string settle, which I enjoyed.
Not sure if those strings are pre stretched or not but it didnt seems to become longer, it stay truth to the size I cut.
Incredibly whippy and a tiny bit heavy, I do enjoy a lot the response in slacks.
Think those are pretty much the perfect strings, in line with the Zipline Alphaline, I think there isn’t anything better (for my taste at least) if you want some strings able to play tech and big tricks!
I will have to experiment on the life span, for now I did around 5 hours and still basically new, like the Alphaline
Oh, a dremel! ….I wonder if I could use that to smooth out my sugar sand Cenote. It’s too rough around the bearing and eats the loop around it. The catch zone also seems to grab the string a little more than I’d like. I might have to give it a try. Thanks for the idea!
I tried rubbing it with denim and with leather and it seemed to help a bit but I bet the polishing wheel on the dremel would knock it down quick.
Plucked red 2010 888 from the forum this past week. The 2010 888 was a throw I abused learning tricks and passed it on to my oldest. Wanted to have a very close to mint one to throw again nostalgia I guess.
And today received
